Nice hotel with great staff!

The staff were wonderful! Offered us an upgraded room to move into in our 2nd day. Rooms were spacious (way larger than the average rooms in Europe) and very clean. Breakfast was very good as well. They do warn about the homeless a few blocks down on the right. We did stumble into that area on our way back but it was no different than many areas in Chicago and there were police sitting there so we didn’t feel unsafe. We wish we were a bit closer to Plaka area just because we seem to like that area for the shopping and restaurants. Overall a very pleasant stay.

L'hotel è il classico Novotel con camere standard e servizi da 4 stelle. Il personale è stato gentilissimo e la pulizia abbastanza soddisfacente. A volte ho notato disattenzione nel gettare i bicchieri usati. Ci sono però delle cose che hanno condizionato un po la mia permanenza. Prima di tutto il bagno senza chiave. Mancava completamente la sensazione di privacy. Ovviamente non c'era il bidet ma questo non è un problema. Il tipo di porta non permette proprio la privacy della persona. Tra l'altro era una porta a vetri che lascia passare odori e rumori. Onestamente, se si viaggia con persone con cui non c'è una totale armonia, ci si sente a disagio. La colazione era ai limiti del target. La scelta limitata, era piu simile a quella di un tre stelle.La cosa peggiore in assoluto è stato scoprire la posizione. Non era male, vista la prossimità del centro. Ma la pericolosità della zona, popolata da barboni, giacigli improvvisati, spazzatura, sporcizia e persone da strada mi ha resa molto insicura ed ho preferito non uscire la sera. Tutto sommato, l'esperienza non è stata completamente positiva. Sconsiglio assolutamente a donne e ragazze che viaggiano da sole.
