This place is tired. The carpet in the hall outside our room was disgusting. No bottle water in the room. Air con was great. Breakfast was a joke. Having come down at 8.30am, there was no milk, no jam, no croissants, no bacon and no baguettes. The woman from the kitchen just smiled. Only when I and another French lady kicked up a fuss was it all replenished. This woman needs supervision. Won’t stay here again.

Avoid room 120......the heating is broken, so you get a frozen room that cannot be fixed and apparently cannot be changed. And the restaurant - yet again a new concept. Most of the menu is not available at 1830 when the restaurant opens......reception staff is unfailingly helpful and friendly. But too many issues show a lack of attention to detail, to the basics.

No beer pump working, so had gin & tonic & campari & lemonade instead. Extortionate at 22,50€. No prices displayed. No ice either. 2 coffees the day before were cold & had to be microwaved. Not impressed.

No IBIS for us again

I was disappointed in this IBIS. Upon arrival, we were informed they wanted our credit card details for security but no money would be taken. They actually put 230 euros through the card but then tried to explain it wouldn't actually be charged and that it was because it was a foreign credit card and that all hotels did this. No so, their sister hotel Mercure. We didn't book breakfast and we're glad we didn't because when we saw it covered in flies the next morning, it was a big no no. I wanted a cup of tea, you know, the ordinary breakfast type tea that one gets around the world and even in France you get a Yellow Liptons bag but there was not one in the whole hotel apparently. We had to ask for a 'tea tray' for our room!!! and there was Mint or Camamile, urgghhhh. I settled for coffee because I didn't know how to use the funny new fangled thing on the tray. I had to go for milk and walked down the road for a bottle of water. For dinner, we went up into the town centre, easy to reach from the hotel and if you like burgers, then that's wonderful. No more to be said. The room we were given was tiny, and for my disabled husband was very difficult. There was not even BBC World news on the TV which was hanging off the wall. Just disappointed more than anything. Hey ho.

Staff here are very friendly and there is a secure garage below the hotel which makes it perfect for a stop if you are driving through France. The room was clean but the hotel is very tired - carpets need to be replaced and the age of the fixtures and fittings give a sense that the place needs a clean even when it doesn’t. Breakfast however is great - lots of fresh bread, Madeline’s, crepes, fruits, yoghurts and decent coffee from a machine. So we’d stop here again but definitely wouldn’t linger for a few days.

Be aware, however, that we have re-sensitized the teams so that this problem does not persist.Our establishment had started its major renovations in 2019 as you could see in our reception area, bar and restaurant. Some rooms were completely redone and almost all our bathrooms in 2019. However, the health crisis did not allow us to continue this makeover to make our establishment one in which the entire team would take real pleasure in welcoming delighted guests.
