We were greeted by Deb at reception who was so helpful and so much fun. We loved our accommodation in a three roomed villa overlooking the harbour . And ate at the restaurant which was 5 star, delicious food and exceptional service by Kiki. Thank You Guys We loved our stay

Worst dinner ever at the restaurant: We pre booked our dinner after our sip and sail cruise and were served cold lamb shank in a tasteless sauce which we sent back to reheat and arrived after my husband had already finished his bouillabaisse that looked more like a stew and also lacked in flavour. Alberto our waiter had no customer service skills and the whole evening was spoiled for us. There is no love lost in this kitchen!

We spent three nights here in one of the three bedroom apartments. The location of Peppers is very convenient. It is literally a 30 second walk from the ferry. There is an IGA supermarket and bottle shop across the road and there are a number of restaurants within two minutes walk. The apartment was light and spacious. Many of these have a balcony at the front and rear, overlooking the marina. There is a large, outdoor pool with varying depths, to cater for all ages. There is also a separate, smaller pool closer to reception. These pools require swipe card access, which guests receive upon checkin. Overall, a lovely stay in a very convenient location.

First time staying on Magnetic Island and was excited to stay somewhere central. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment. Unfortunately, these rooms look out over the carpark/marina which is extremely loud from around 5:30am with garbage trucks and other vehicles. The room had paper-thin blinds so the sun poured in from this time. The room was very worn out and seems as though it has never received a refresh. Most of the furniture and furnishings are broken or damaged. The outdoor areas of the hotel are actually really nice and well maintained, including the huge lagoon pool. This hotel as so much potential - it's just a shame that the 'Peppers' brand is not maintained and the rooms do not have the same 'Peppers' standards as other properties. The buffet breakfast is. fine, but certainly nothing to get excited about. It's disappointing that barista coffee (or at least machine coffee) is not included. Unbeknown to us, the restaurant was actually closed on the Friday and Saturday night that we were staying there due to hosting a wedding. A small limited set menu was available, but for $60 per person not worth it. A positive mention needs to go to the staff here - the front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful - a massive asset to this hotel!

This hotel was booked for us by a travel agent and we were pleased to find on arrival that it's just steps from the ferry terminal. There's also an IGA grocer just across the car park, which worked well for us given the self-catering facilities in the room. The breakfast buffet was unremarkable standard British food, but plentiful. For meals out, Stuffed on Seafood just across the main road is a convenient stop after a day out though rather pricey. And our ten-year-old son loved the swimming pools inside the resort and the wallabies at nearby Ferry Rock. The staff were highly responsive; the even did a cake in the restaurant for our son's birthday. The room even included an ensuite washing machine, with laundry powder supplied, as well as a fridge, hob, microwave, glasses, cups, bowls, plates and cutlery. In the room, the furniture intended to be sleek, I guess, instead presents minor inconvenience: the chair is designed with feet splayed out so far that they stub toes, the sofa is too low to rise from. The island bus stops at the nearby ferry terminal, and tickets for the day can be purchased on board. The bus is an easy way to get around the island, or if you're intrepid it's possible to walk all the way to Horseshoe Bay via the Forts, where you're likely to see koalas. Peppers is well positioned for all of this.
