Magnificent Hotel with poor management.

After we had a flawless stay in 2021 we couldn't wait to go back again so we went back this year, we stayed 6 days. We were disappointed from the moment we arrive until we left. It really saddens us to write this review because we really like the hotel but we had to. Constructive criticism always helps and customers deserve to get what we pay for. When the room rates are increased the service and quality should be increased as well and not majorly decrease the quality. We were able to tell the difference because we are repeat customers. We had never expected to leave that hotel with a bad taste in our mouth. We felt the major difference between the old management and the new management. The beautiful hotel looked neglected. The welcome at the reception was cold only with one person. No welcome fruits in the room, neglected beautiful furniture. Couldn't open drawers. Non functioning TV but after we address the problem several times TV was changed on the 3rd day of our stay. Breakfast area cushions very dirty. Sun beds cushions very old. This was our first time that we used the GYM we didn't use it in our last stay. To our surprise, after being in other luxury hotels with new workout digital machines with an attendant we could not believe our eyes. Super small GYM for such a big resort with super old and rusty sport equipments. We couldn't go on the treadmill because it was wobbly and made annoying noises. There was only one bike. No attendant the only highlight was the refreshing cold towels. Breakfast was very poor. They couldn't even get a simple crape right. It was like a glue and the french toast, bread was tasteless old, pastry not luxury hotel standard, we had to fight for the last banana.......Food in general wasn't a luxury hotel standard. Very poor! The quality was majorly changed from the previous experience. They served us a frozen smelly fish when i returned the sChef came to apologise and the whole restaurant crew were very apologetic. The next day they redeemed themselves by serving us the best fresh caught red snapper that we ever had. Service was ok, but the workers didn't look motivated, no energy, there were couple of them that made our stay pleasant, Sam , Cecil, Samir, the bartenders are very good and the very enchanting, knowledgeable sommelier JeanLuc. The Hotel itself, the location and the nature around it is still beautiful. What a pity that we can‘t go back.

Memory filled and relaxation

Villa was amazing however, there should be improvement in hospitality towards local residents. Same for protocols at the gate (to greet guest properly instead of asking what are we coming to raffles for which was quite confusing as we thought we were at the wrong entrance gate). Other than that the food was great and villa stay was amazing.

Stunning Property nestled into the hill side

We had the privilege of staying at the property during a recent work trip to the Seychelles. The property is nestled into the hill side and seamlessly blends into the environment, the villa are extremely generous size, offering all the amenities that you would require to make a very enjoyable stay both on Business or holiday. Loved how each of the villa have their own infinity pools, offering guest the chance to relax in the privacy of their own space, or if they want to more closer to action relax around the main pool. The beach at the property is simply stunning, and would definitely be worth spending a few hours on relaxing and reading a book, listening to the sound of the ocean lap up against the sandy beach.

Relaxation in a beautiful environment

Very relaxing week away. Excellent customer service, by every member of the staff. Leon, our butler, organised a private flight to Mahe for us when the sea was too rough to travel by boat. Great variety of food and restaurants. Nice beach, compared to other resorts in the Seychelles.

Enjoyable experience with lots of privacy, room for improvement on the restaurant side

A very warm welcome is guaranteed, when you arrive in the hotel. Our Butler Leon took great care of us and arranged all bookings and reservations. We had a fantastic villa and enjoyed great service through friendly personnel. The pool and beach areas are exceptional and offer lots of privacy. The breakfast was amongst the best we enjoyed so far in 5 star hotels. The food in the evening was unfortunately a bit disappointing, in particular in the main restaurant and the sushi place. We had a much better food experience in the Constane Ephelia a-la-carte restaurants . I found it also a bit irritating that the prices excluded government and service tax of 15% and 10%, making the final bill a quarter more expensive than on display. The other two hotels, which we visited, showed inclusive prices. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay in the Raffles and can recommend the place.
