Beautiful Hotel and Best Service ever by Ines , Zlliou & Merriam !!! Thank you so much for the Great welcome and service !!! This the Best resort in Essaouira , Great location within 10 minutes from The center of the town with the Best Views and Service for your money !!!

An older Sofitel hotel

This might be an older Sofitel hotel whereby the rooms were nicely laid out but very poor in functioning. The shower water did not drain, the bathroom and the room could not be separated, therefore if somebody would have the light on in the bathroom the light would be in the bedroom too. (Yes there is a blind but that's not really effective). While the breakfast and the service at the breakfast was nice, the dinner options in the hotel were completely missing because they only had a buffet option at the restaurant or one could do bar food. While this hotel is far from the town so once a guest is in the hotel they really don't have options to dine anywhere else. Do not have À la carte options at the dinner restaurant is extremely strange for a Sofitel hotel.

We stayed at this hotel many years ago (2012) and had a really good experience . After 12 years we decided to come back for a 5 star stay but unfortunately we were left disappointed . The hotel is looking tired and has not been maintained . There was a damp smell in one of our bedrooms so we had to ask to be moved . There were signs of damp and leaks in other parts of the hotel. The room that was changed the new room had a hole in the ceiling outside the room and there was a leak ( we assume water). furthermore our room was not ready for us there was no safe . A couple of lights were out. The kettle didn’t work . The tv was old and didn’t work properly. Some of the bathroom bits were rusted. All in all unbelievable . I was told all the rooms are the same standard . This is supposed to be a 5-star hotel . Definitely not. The room service was hit and miss as well and all in all the standard of the hotel has really deteriorated . It was sad to see . On the plus side the staff were generally good especially in the restaurant. The food was good although not outstanding . Overall we were left surprised and disappointed .

The property is old and not clean. And the facilities are also not clean not worth the value I paid for. My room was not clean and AC was not working we called many times to some one fix it but there was no response. Breakfast was not that good quality plus no service no one comes to u plus table always not clean and dirty.

Home away from home..didn’t want to leave
