Couple good things about this hotel, a short walk from National Express bus station and got into my room early after no sleep on my international flight over. Shopping center, McDonald's, TGIFRIDAY and cruise terminal all very close and walkable. Room itself small, pillows not at all soft, have to ask for hair dryer, luckily space heater was in room bc wall unit never kicked on. The next morning to go check out breakfast, which was not at all good, elevator from 4th floor didn't go to main floor "Zero" & really didn't get a straight answer about getting my luggage down.

The continental breakfast did not really exist and when we went to get some breakfast, the bread was mouldy, that we didn’t notice until we started eating it and then was sick. The price you pay for the breakfast was disgusting cause considering there was nothing there.🤢

In our case, we booked it as a day room to relax after disembarking a cruise and before an evening flight. It turned out to be a cost-effective alternative to bag storage in Southampton, offering a private space to rest and refresh at an unbeatable price. Overall, while it’s not luxurious, the Ibis Budget Southampton serves its purpose well for those prioritizing convenience and affordability over style and comfort.

rooms look better in pictures. in person, they look and feel like prison cells. the breakfast selection is terrible. there’s no variety and barely any food. drinks were rubbish - orange and apple- tasted so bad. i absolutely hated this stay. card didn’t work properly too, got locked out of my room

Very good cheap option for pre cruise stay, of course, if you need only the place to sleep. The room was small, without special space for luggage, in room shower and sink, but clean and practical equipped. The walk from National express coach station was around 8 minutes, the Uber to the City cruise terminal was 4 GBP. 15 minutes walk for a dinner in a old part of the town. Breakfast - nothing to write about - but good for a price.
