Firstly, the staff were welcoming and friendly and the room itself was well presented, clean and tidy. Secondly, that’s where it ended. Had to drag heavy bags up to the second floor, holes in the bathroom wall, right next to a hotel so noise went to past midnight, people slammed doors all night. Will never stay there again.

Just needed 6 hours of rest before catching a flight - should have laid down on the park bench instead! Turned up at 11.30am and the doors are conveniently locked till midday so we had to stand out in the rain! Tried to call reception and no one was there! When checking in, the receptionist seemed uninterested in us and was paying some game on their iPhone 16 pro max! Got fleeced an extra $50 as I was checking in before 2pm even though I clearly stated we would only be a few hours!’ No lift. No help with carrying the luggage. All luggage to be hand carried up the stairs. The room is small, no shampoo in the bathroom! The place is basically a scumbucket magnet for other so called guests! Every type of knucklehead under the sun gravitates to the IBIS: Smelly hippies spilling out of their housevans, tattooed surfers, barefoot bogans fighting each other for fun, and cashed-up boomers flittering between overpriced organic cafes! Plenty of freaks and ferals share the same hotel with you - so keep your room door tightly locked as you may get mugged in the corridor outside! The IBIS is over run with feral tourists on a budget and you’re not sure if they are on holiday or on the run from the police. You will find the IBIS car park conveniently littered with half-eaten takeaways and used condoms, as clearly it’s to much effort to clear up this mess! Some of the people who reside at the IBIS are pretentious trustafarians who turned up for Splendour in the Grass and forgot to fock off home after the mushies wore off. You also will rub shoulders with meth heads who appear to be private school plastic hippies who use their old man’s money to live the ‘Coffs Harbour dream’, subsidizing their supposed ‘free spirit lifestyle’ which actually consists of wearing cheap jewelry they bought in Bali while complaining about other fake hippies, and catching herpes from German backpackers and generally doing large amounts of serious fock all. The IBIS consists of drunken drongos smashing each other’s teeth out and projectile vomiting at passersby's in the corridors! Best thing about staying at the IBIS - is checking out, knowing you never have to stay in this rancid dump ever again!

We stayed here for a quick nights stopover. Thank goodness it was only one night. Very loud noise of a night due to being next door to a pub. Room was disgusting with what looked like dried snot (boogies) above the top bunk. The curtains were only just hung up with cable ties. The room had a very ‘funky’ smell. No lifts which meant luggage had to be carried up stairs. Paper thin walls which meant we left the tv on all night to drown out all the screaming kids. Expensive for what it was. Never stay again

Si vais haciendo la Ruta por el este, cogería otro destino, (Woolgoolga, corindi, red rock, que quedan relativamente cerca). El hotel ibis está muy apartado de todo. Tiene parking gratis y piscina. No tiene ascensor. Tiene aire acondicionado. No tiene secador. Creo que tiene wifi pero la chica no nos la dió, quizás se le olvidó. Tiene para hacer te o café. La habitación bastante justa, pero limpia. Si volviese a coffs cogería otro hotel algo más cerca de la playa.
