Beautiful setting, let down by maintenance, housekeeping, and lack of follow-up

We stayed 21–26 Oct. The front-desk team were consistently polite and clearly trying, but the experience didn’t live up to the Mercure brand. First, getting help was nearly impossible: nobody picks up the phone. We tried calling every single day from the rooms and couldn’t reach anyone. When issues did get reported in person and later by email, nobody ever got back to us. Housekeeping was a letdown. We asked for cleaning in the late afternoon, but it didnt happen. We asked for a double blanket and were told none exists in the hotel. We made do with a double bedsheet—until housekeeping took away the one remaining sheet we were using. On top of that, they left a dirty glass inside the bathroom with soiled utensils placed inside the glass. It’s hard to feel comfortable after that. The wellness timing also isn’t guest-friendly (sauna from 15:00 only), and the so-called “fitness center” feels like an overreach—more a corner with a couple of tired machines than anything resembling a gym. For the rate and the brand, expectations are higher. Overall, no call-backs despite complaints, phones that never get answered, and underwhelming housekeeping made this stay disappointing. I don’t fault the people at the desk—they’re doing their best—but the place feels understaffed or poorly managed. With better staffing, basic inventory (like proper double blankets), and actual follow-through on guest feedback, this hotel could match its location. As it stands, it doesn’t.

Hotel is large, at the end of the village. The receptionist were helpful, but as is usual with large building hotel, the feeling is of a cold place. Wifi was perfect. Breakfast was perfect and plentiful. The room for 3 people was small. A better welcome would have improved my rating of this hotel.

The front desk lady was not welcoming at all (no customer service, no recognisition of our ALL diamond level) Kitchen was opened until 21h but we were denied any food at 20.40 (after a 15hr drive) Rooms and hotel are outdated and no airco avail during these hot days. Never again for us!

This hotel has beautiful rooms, a very cozy pool and sauna. A modest breakfast, but special thanks for the Ronnefeldt tea. I am a tea connoisseur and I know the cost and quality of Ronnefeldt tea very well. There was a very inexperienced employee at the reception (unfortunately, I don't remember her name, but she had a beautiful henna painting on her hands). She didn't understand any of the issues at all and created long queues at the reception. But fortunately, you have other great staff: Garabzyeyeva Maryna and Hevryk Vladyslav, who came to the rescue in time and left the most pleasant impression of the hotel in the end. I would like to thank them very much, as I did not have time to thank them personally. Very often the great work of humble employees goes unnoticed. That's why I decided to write to you to acknowledge the professionalism and courtesy of Maryna and Vladislav. It is these employees who create a pleasant atmosphere and make it easier to return to the hotel. Thank you very much!

Good day, I spent my vacation in your hotel from 18 to 21.02.2025. On 18 and 19.02 the swimming pool was not available. You suggested a swimming pool in another hotel, unfortunately it was an uncomfortable situation for me. I booked your hotel precisely for this reason, so that after skiing I would not have to get dressed, get in the car and go to the swimming pool. In such a situation I would pay for another cheaper hotel and I would commute to the swimming pool in the area. In my opinion I should receive financial compensation for this situation.
