We did dinner at 1920 restaurant and I ate the best vegetarian gluten free food at restaurant. Can’t say enough about the Egyptian hospitality. Our server Essam took such a good care of us. Loved the food and thanked our chef. The piano player played such beautiful melodies that my whole experience went many notches up. Thanks again to chef, Essam and his team as well as the great pianist.

A must-visit for anyone coming to Aswan. Even if you're not staying at the hotel, don’t miss the chance to enjoy cocktails on the terrace at sunset — it’s a truly magical experience. While the cocktails may not be the best and are a bit on the pricey side, the unforgettable atmosphere makes it well worth it.

The hotel is amazing, the terrace and the view over the Nile and Elephantine Island are awesome at sunset. Kero went well beyond perfect customer service to look after our group and explain the history of the place. We hope to be back next year.

Amazing hotel! We checked in and had a cataract suite which was upgraded to an even bigger suite! It was relatively recently renovated which could be noted compared to other hotels we stayed in during our time in Egypt! The hotel had a great history and the beds were super comfy and absolutely enormous! The staff were attentive and super helpful and we had a wonderful stay! The grounds weee decorated for Christmas and it was a magical stay. The pool was fab!

Stopped for a cocktail on the terrace of the Old Cataract Hotel. An oasis of calm alongside the frenetic activity of downtown Aswan. Watching feluccas sail gently by as the sun goes down is a real delight. We had Cointreau based cocktails which were delicious if a little pricey but worth it for the surroundings and the sense of history. We were very well looked after by the bar manager Hera Simon who could not have been more helpful
