Bad experience and not good value- one of the booked rooms was like a trip into the 70s and desperately neededmakeover

Whilst the location is great and outside of the resort are beautifully maintained, the decor of one of the rooms we had was dated, the airconditioning leaked onto the lounge and the carpet which meant the room smelt of wet carpet the whole time we were there. The worst part of our experience was that of the 6 adults who slept in two apartments and in 4 beds all complained about the discomfort of the beds. when i looked at the mattress we slept on in the main bedroom, it was very aged and springs creaked and made noise. the solution of a topper helped minimally. When you go away and pay very good money, you expect to have comfortable beds! I have stayed a number of times in the past but would not be back again! it was a disaster for the 7 of us coming away for a combined family holiday. I will not recommend to anyone!

The facilities and location are excellent at Breakfree Grand Pacific, Caloundra. The room that we stayed in was very old and tired and in desperate need of an update. Getting in and out of the bath is problematic and an accident waiting to happen.

We enjoyed our stay but was really disappointed at 2 thing: 1. The TV in the bedroom are fix to the roof and hangs very low. I bumped my head on it twice. 2. We heard renovation noice during the day which was very annoying. We were not told about the planned renovation when we booked the room. I don't think it was the right thing for them to do. It was our wedding anniversary on Valentine's day and we just wanted peace and quiet.

We were called 2 hours before check in, when we were already in Caloundra that our room was being changed due to an air conditioner leak. We had to check in late as our nephew was born that afternoon. Arrived in room - carpet felt damp and sticky, room smelt musty, mould in main room coming out of A/C vent, mound on bedroom sliding door frame, mould in ensuite. Couldn’t turn A/C off and have doors open to freshen the room as the screens had been removed. Initial room was a top floor room with a rooftop spa. We were assured this room had a spa. We got a 2 bedroom garden view room, on 3rd floor, and the spa was the bath in the ensuite with shower above. It was dangerous to get in and out of as the door didn’t open fully. In the morning we also found a large puddle under the TV unit. Ten hours after check in we checked out early as the room was below standard for $320 per night we were paying! It shouldn’t have even been available to book. Staff were great but 3 weeks later we are still waiting on our refund. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

Die Lage zum Strand ist top, auch die Außenanlagen mit Pool sehr gepflegt. Das Appartment im Tower war auch großzügig bemessen. Allerdings roch es sehr muffig, schon beim Eintreten. Die Küchenschränke von innen besonders. Töpfe, Pfannen, Toaster sehr abgenutzt. In den Kleiderschränken waren die Ecken schon lange nicht mehr gereinigt worden. Ein schön gelegenes Hotel, dem etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit bei Pflege und Sauberkeit gut tun würde. Die Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich.
