I think the Fairmount is one of the nicest hotels in Ajman. Perfectly located on a beautiful safe sandy beach and with walking distance of many local shops restaurants and other hotels. The entrance lobby is very impressive and the front of house team are extremely helpful and welcoming. We were very grateful to be able to have an early check after traveling through the night. The Deluxe King ocean rooms have stunning vistas over the Persian Gulf. We were on the 11th floor and really enjoyed our evening’s sitting out on the lovely cool balcony. Our room Was kept spotless by the fantastic room Attendants and our complimentary water bottles were amply restocked every day which was very much appreciated. We used all of the food and beverage outlets that the hotel had to offer which include a sports bar, a Turkish restaurant an Italian restaurant the pool bar& restaurant and a buffet style restaurant Spectrum which also served as the breakfast location. The food overall was of good quality and variety especially Kiyi the Turkish offering which was our favorite. Unfortunately my only criticism would be the service at the bars and restaurants was very hit and miss depending on who was serving you. On serval occasions our drinks were extremely slow in coming and completely forgotten on another occasion. These was often language barrier issues which was not entirely the staffs fault but made for mistakes with orders and delays with food. As this is a five star hotel I would have expected a much higher level of service and I feel A lot of the staff were either undertrained or diss interrsted in there tasks. Hopefully this is something that the Fairmont Ajman can work on take them to the next level.

Family of eleven including 5 children under 9 had a great time staying 10 days on half board. Beach, sea and outdoor pool very safe and supervised by observant and friendly lifeguards. Plenty of space in and around the hotel for relaxing and sunbathing. Hotel staff attentive and friendly. Easy access to local shops, restaurants and other amenities and beach fronts without the need to get taxis and a great golf course at Al Zorah 15 minutes away. We will be back.

The hotel looked lovely and had some nice features however many items in the room did not work or needed replacing such as the Fridge, TV’s, iron, hairdryer... Furthermore there was a lack of sun beds on the beach as no one was removing old towels and beds lay empty for many hours. Lastly the aqua adventure park was out of action the whole stay.

1. Reception and concierge very helpful. Particular praise to Tony who was more than helpful in arranging transportation for our group. 2. Room - very clean and spacious. Hotel staff/cleaners did an excellent job. 3. Restaurant - very good range of food and service in Spectrum and Turkish Restaurant. Service in Xolo was very slow with waits on 2 evenings of over 1 hour to get ordered food. The Italian restaurant was also slow and much of food either over or undercooked. 4. Gym - generally good but you should get a rowing machine installed. 5. Outside facilities good - friends used the pool and that was good. Outside bar staff were very helpful and food was served quite quickly. 6. Wi-Fi kept dropping out within the hotel, even sitting in one of the restaurants it would be logged in and 5 minutes later sitting in the same seat it had logged off.
