Nice place, bad timing

Lovely room but overall a disappointing stay. Stayed for two days. 1. Both days the common access was under maintanence so you could only access Hastings and your apartment via the back street or through the underground carpark. Considering most tourists pay extra for the convenience of this location, that was an inconvenience it would have been nice to be notified about prior to booking. If we had of known we likely would have booked elsewhere. 2. The website advertises room service and pool service available however this is not actually available Thursdays and Fridays which unfortunately was the days we stayed. The absence of this service diminshed the vacation experience significantly. This is also not clearly advertised. 3. On the day we departed the lift was out of order the entire morning and so we had to carry three large suitcases down three flights of stairs unassisted. Lucky we are young and able, may not have been very achievable for others. Overall not a horrible experience, however when you are considering a holiday resort, the location, convenience, services and facilities are what drive your decision. Unfortunately, this time the experience was not worth the price. In future if patrons were notified of maintanence/renovations etc prior to booking or if the price was modified whilst they are occurring that may improve the stay for patrons.

Clothing Taken During Cleaning

The accommodation and the staff were nice whilst I stayed, but some of my clothes were taken from my room (probably during cleaning) and the Sebel staff have never made any visible effort to resolve the issue. I spoke to reception twice whilst there, then called them over several days once back home, then emailed after when not hearing back over the phone (after being told I would) - still nothing back. Personal belongings shouldn’t go missing from a private hotel room and I’d expect this to be treated as more of an issue.

Absolutely terrible Rude staff , building and blocked off areas throughout resort when assured it would be completed just awful
