Staff were pleasant and the bar/breakfast/work area downstairs was great. The room looked nice and modern when we first got there and were happy (we were apprehensive after staying in the Ibis in Birmingham which was the worst hotel room I’ve ever been in). It felt clean, modern and fresh. Unfortunately, I did find black mould in the room which wasn’t great. Also, the bathroom was fairly clean, but did need a bit of a repaint in some areas where it looked a bit tatty. We were there for 4 nights. Unfortunately housekeeping wasn’t great - our creased bedding wasn’t replaced or refreshed and the bed wasn’t made up well each day (as it was at the start). Slept quite well and there’s no noise to complain about. No A/C and the cooler unit didn’t seem to do anything so would avoid in summer. In summary, an ok place to stay, but maybe try a different budget hotel if you can.
