Excellent hotel with great service, superb connections, comfy rooms and good views

This is a classical Pullman hotel with comfy rooms, delicious food in the restaurant, very good bar service although slightly expensive. The wine selection is superb. Whilst this hotel is located a bit outside the city centre, it offers a direct tram line to the heart of the city including the railway station. Views on the lake are very nice and I had the pleasure to receive an upgrade to a nice suite. The only downside is that this is obviously a conference hotel, so big groups tend to monopolise the elevator and sometimes the bar. In all, a very positive business experience and I would go again.

Having stayed here before we were disappointed with the change. “Budget” is a more apt description than 4 star. Restaurant closed at weekend - not what we expected having stayed here previously and arriving tired from the journey. Horrendous area to find ‘eatery’. Tv non functioning which was sorted by a new remote at reception. No water in room - you go to reception - request an empty bottle / and fill your own. No hand towels in room. Toilet paper seems rationed - half a roll. Corridor on 4th floor stale stinky smell. Huge change in atmosphere since our last visit and we will be avoiding. Oh and you are ‘relieved’ of €100 deposit guarantee on your card although you have fully prepaid which will take a week to reinstate - anywhere else the card is guarantee.

Nice experience in this hotel. We arrived at 23:30 and they ensure the bar was open some extra time so we could have a deink before going to bed. Big room, comfortable bed, spotless clean. We'll be back.

Stayed in a Junior Suite. The smart tvs in the room didn't work because the Internet was so weak. The room keys stopped working right after breakfast at 10:45 even though checkout is at 12:00, which is what sometimes happens at cheaper Novotel, Mercure, and Ibis Styles. And the breakfast is much better at a cheaper Novotel. Definitely not worth the higher price.

It was our second time at this hotel, we usually use it as a transit/1night stay when in route to Spain. This time the experience was really bad. There were unprofessional frontdesk employees who did not follow any of the standards of a 4star hotel. Our room provided was not the category we booked, we had no bed pulled out as requested for our son also there was based on the front desk no housekeeping staff to do it (our check in was 6pm not in the middle of the night). When requesting pillows for the extra bed we pulled out and did ourselves, we got pillows without covers. I then asked for covers they said "we dont have, but the pillows are clean", I insisted on getting covers that finally came later and that I just got handover and had again to do it myself (put myself covers on the pillows). Also pay attention the restaurant is closed on weekend evenings, so when asking where to get dinner close by at the frontdesk, they told us we have to go to downtown/center of the city because there is nothing nearby. I insisted on something close That is not true as when I googled myself I found couple places 5min walking There was other issues I will not comment on a public review due to privacy but I hope the GM of this hotel, will contact us, so I can disclose them privately We are also gold/silver members of Accor, and this experience is by far very disappointing.
