My room was allocated next to kids and they cried all day and night. I complained 4 times as soon as I had checked in but nothing was done. The next day someone from guest services called to check if everything was good and I informed them of the issue and they offered to change my room but I was checking out the day after so it was too late to change the room. However they made it up but allowing me to check out late. Everything else was good.

We were offered a junior suite as upgrade. However, it was too small for 3 adults. With extra bed. There wouldn’t have been room for luggage. The executive lounge was a bit disappointing. At our request (on our first day) a tiered cake tray was presented with selection of slices of cakes and sandwiches. My husband and I are diabetic (+ high cholesterol) and I have fish allergy. Therefore, the snacks were not suitable for us. We felt it was a waste of good food. Movenpick al anwar Madinah has a selection (10am - 7pm) of drinks, fruits, salads, cakes and breads - for customers to choose as per their preferences. They even provided boiled eggs at request. Swissôtel Al Maqam Makkah (1pm - 6pm) has very similar set up as Al Anwar, except their salad section is very minimal.

I booked a deluxe room advertised with a partial Haram view and listed as 350 sq ft. Neither was true. There is no real view. Whatever they call “partial Haram view” is not a view at all. I paid more specifically for that and got nothing for it. The room is also much smaller than the 350 sq ft they claimed. It feels cramped, not deluxe. I booked two rooms and asked for them to be next to each other. That simple request was not honored. There is an elevator between the two rooms. On top of that, the air conditioning in my room does not work properly. It is uncomfortable. This is the worst hotel I have stayed in. I will not come back and I will make sure my family and friends do not book here either. Save your money and stay somewhere that actually delivers what they advertise.

I’ve stayed in many hotels, but this one is by far the best I’ve experienced in my life. Everything was more than wonderful: the rooms were spotless, the staff and workers were genuinely helpful, and the location made getting around so easy. 1. **Room Issue**\ I booked a Prestige Suite with a partial Haram view, but upon arrival, I was given a Studio instead. A Studio is cheaper than the Prestige Suite I had booked. After I complained, they eventually changed my room, but the replacement room did not have the Haram view that I had originally booked. 2. **Unfriendly and Unprofessional Restaurant Staff**\ The restaurant staff were extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. While I was eating, I politely raised my hand to call a waiter who was approximately 15 meters away. Instead of coming to my table, he simply made a hand gesture from a distance asking what I wanted. I found this behavior completely unprofessional, especially for a hotel that presents itself as a five-star property. 3. **Poor Checkout and Luggage Assistance**\ I called reception to arrange my checkout and asked if someone could come and help me bring my luggage downstairs. After waiting for half an hour, nobody came. I called reception again, but nobody answered the phone. As I was getting late, I had no choice but to carry two suitcases and two hand-carry bags myself to the reception counter. When I asked the receptionist why nobody had come to assist me, he simply stared at me strangely and did not provide any explanation or response. I handed over the room keys and left the hotel with a terrible sense of regret for choosing this hotel. 4. **Failure to Complete Checkout Properly**\ After I had already arrived back in my country, I received a message from the hotel asking whether I was still in my room. This was another example of the staff's irresponsibility, as the receptionist had apparently failed to properly check me out in their system.
