Good location. clunky check-in and awkward staff

the experience starts by having a staff member stand over your shoulder whilst doing the self service check-in. i personally think if you are going to have a self service check-in. let people work through it themselves. otherwise if you want to do it for them, let them go to the counter. this is a very awkward and clunky experience. then the room. i had a water leak from my basin in the room which the quality of install was horrific. The maintenance contractor then suggested he fix it with Silicone. I was then transferred to another room which evidently was a spare room not commonly used. it smelt stale and was dusty (like your grandparents house) I couldn't sleep well in there because I kept sneezing. after the resistance the staff put up moving me the first time I didn't bother asking again. Not to mention the food on room service is wildly priced and low standard. but this is somewhat to be expected with all room service as a whole.

Perfectly decent hotel, but the choice to layoff staff and run an automatic check-in service made me feel like I was checking into a cheap MacDonald's. The last thing a hotel needs is less human interactivity. This does not engender customer loyalty.
