I have stayed here before and although I didn’t get on with the compact room I had on previous stay felt the overall ambience and friendliness deserved a second chance. This time I booked a superior room but was very pleased to be upgraded to the superior plus which was a great room! Once again the staff were great, especially in bar and my stay was enjoyable.

Staff lovely, hotel lovely, breakfast lovely. But, the donk, donk, donk every time anybody showered or used the toilet caused the donk, which was the water dripping through the pipework. Such a shame as we cut out visit short due to lack of sleep. Upgrade free of charge was offered but we had had enough. And as the outside staff jet washed the pavement they sprayed our car with mud. Lovely.

I had a one night stay in Bournemouth to attend a concert. The Ibis Styles is located on a quiet street, fabulous building, I booked a compact single but was upgraded to a double which was well laid out and very spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. On line check in would be useful but I am sure that will come in time.

Must be a dodgy hotel as it's the only one in UK And Europe where you have to pay a breakage deposit despite being 47 and a business professional No acknowledgement of status either

Stayed for 1 night. Can only describe it as average, the room was okay. The shower, not very powerful, but the bed it’s self was large and comfortable. The door however you had to slam shut otherwise it didn’t close properly. Had to pay a £50 deposit upon arrival, in case of any damages. I was not impressed with this, as we were not pre warned. The pool is outside, in another building. Was alright, but a bit of a faff. The breakfast was okay, just average, and not very well refilled. The lift is very small. There is parking but you have to pay £10 per day. Staff were all friendly. Close to the beach and city centre.

Had a great time away , loved the hotel was clean , staff were lovely and every thing ran smooth . Only reason I didn't give a 10 was that we weren't aware before hand that we needed to pay a security deposit on arrival, would be good to know before arrival as it did effect our budget for our stay

The exterior of the hotel looked a little shabby on arrival, bit the interior was fab. Would have liked to have been able to cool the room down more - we could not set the air on at a cool enough level for us even though it was not a warm night! (surely this would help your fuel bills to rather than overheating rooms?) Breakfast was great and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful.

We needed one night with a very early start to catch a ferry from Poole in the morning. Unfortunately there was a large party attended by many young people who were enjoying themselves very loudly and making the dealings with reception quite challenging. Just unlucky timing with that. The reception staff were very good. The room was very nicely fitted and the bed very comfortable. Unfortunately the bathroom door was hanging off and there was no time to have it fixed but it was not a problem for us. We will definitely use this hotel again if in the Poole area.

I object to money being charged to my bank account in case of damage although eventually finishing up in pending. Other hotel groups take note of my card in case of additional purchases and charge it accordingly. Breakfast service was poor, problems with the coffee machine were never addressed during our three night stay. Staff were pleasant but seemed annoyed with me when made them aware of the machines inadequacy.

Selected this hotel for location and if had been recently renovated. However, bit disappointed with make-over, I’d say more of a ‘papering over the cracks’ exercise. Bathroom didn’t give impression of being brand spanking new. Also simple things like the toaster and coffee machine being ultra slow to perform and I mean ultra slow. We were in one of the chalets outside. I challenge the manager to sleep on the pull down bed for an hour never mind a night… it literally was like a jumbled bag of springs Three of us slept in the double bed, which was (thankfully) big enough. But hotel was adequate for our purposes. Could do better on report card
