I was due to meet friends for breakfast at 10 - 10 30 on Sunday morning. I asked at check-in and was told breakfast was till 11am I was also given a timetable of services which confirmed this. In fact, breakfast finished at 10 ! I know it is no use complaining - I had no hot water in the sofitel airport athens in 2020 You just get a shrug of shoulders !

There were 3 receptionists, only one was checking is guests. When I asked for recommendations on where to go in the city, reply from receptionist: I don't know, google it or TripAdvisor. Not what you expect and want to hear

The room was really huge, nice, and proper. The staff was polite. I had 2 issues with the hotel. I wrote an email after my booking to request the split of the beds (I had a trip with my colleague). My wish was considered, everything was fine and nice. An answer to my email would have been nice - I had to call the hotel to get a confirmation of my wish. The only real issue was the check-out. After our 50 km walking (Megamarsch) we wanted to join our beds. The room access was blocked due to the unclear situation of the checkout (the night porter forgot to take the credit card during the check-in. I presented the credit card and payed the bill. My amex app confirmed the payment after 30 secs. At the end of I day I had to prove that the room was really paid by credit card. I am Gold Member - so my data should be known. Not a really big deal but very annoying. This could have been handled much better.

I had a great experience with the front desk manager and I’m not sure about the name. Mr Oettscheller was fantastic with every response and personal addressing me by my last name. I can be a demanding client and he manages excellent. I will come back.

Although the hotel iis new to the Accor group (few months) and some small kinks appeared, it was a nice stay. The breakfast is very good, fresh, clean (despite some other hotel guests ;-) ), tasty. The rooms are clean, bathroom are clearly renovated and the only minor thing about the room is that the airco (it was very warm the days we stayed) is outdated and will no doubt be a part of the further renewal. Staff is very helpful, open to anything you have to mention and finds solutions. Didn't get to use the indoor pool/beauty center, so can't comment on that.
