Dear Mr O., Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your stay with us. I am truly sorry that this incident caused you concern and left you feeling unsafe. Please allow me to offer some clarification: Our housekeeping team follows a strict and standard procedure used in most hotels around the world. When performing daily service, they knock on the door three times while announcing “Housekeeping.” If there is no response, they enter the room to proceed with cleaning. In your case, as soon as the housekeeper saw that you were sleeping, she immediately closed the door again to respect your privacy. We understand that this may have startled you, especially after a long journey. When you placed the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, this prevented any further entry into your room, in accordance with our policies which ensure complete respect for your privacy. As a result, housekeeping could not clean the room during your stay. Please know that if you had informed us at reception, we could have arranged a specific time each day for housekeeping to service your room while allowing you to keep the “Do Not Disturb” sign at other times for your peace of mind. We sincerely hope that you will still retain positive memories of your stay with us and remain at your disposal if you wish to discuss this matter further. Kind regards.
