The Worst Fairmont chain in the world

This is my 1st time in my life I'm writing a review of any kind, but my disappointment for your hotel deserves it. So, the 1 star was for your hotel Location and Breakfast only which is not even that great but it was the only decent things. Carrying the hotel brand of Fairmont is an absolutely disgrace for this hotel. The building exterior looks like a world war II office, the lobby and furnitures is very old like a old 3 star hotel, and every floor ceiling is very low which is totally outdated. Upon check in, I asked the receptionist if it's king size bed, She asked her superior and then assured me that my room is king size bed but it totally wasn't, it was 2 single beds. The room has an awful smoky smell that just never goes away, I complained to the front desk and they said they couldn't do anything except put some product to cover the smell which only lasted 1 night and I had to stay at your hotel for 3 nightmare night and interior truly represents 3 star hotel level. The food for dinner was even worse, Everything is uneatable except the dessert.

Excellent sunday brunch yesterday at Il Vero restaurant. The quality of the buffet was outstanding and we have loved the variety of the food. Moreover the staff was very attentive and dedicated to bring the best possible service. Bravo to all.!

I did not like the fact that I have been chased to increase the guarantee, while my reservation was done through my employer. Finding my door locked while I was entering the room by end of the day and being tired, was not fun. I even said I can leave my passport at the reception instead of increasing the guarantee, and this wasn’t accepted. I was quite surprised to be honest especially that this is not my first time in Fairmont.
