We had an amazing time at the Fairmont El San Juan. Francis at check-in was very helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel. The food was excellent, the rooms were clean, the gym was very nice. We got massages at the spa which were amazing.

This is hum drum not as nice as a Hilton.

So I have stayed here many times over the years and it use to be a Hilton and it was great. Now it’s a Fairmont and with that name you would expect it to be amazing. Well it’s just average and it’s a bit run down. Rooms are rough. We were in the main tower which have no balconies and tiny bathrooms. We spent a day by the pool and rented a cabana on open table supposedly for 4 people. That’s no where near accurate. 2 people and you have to hit a $450 minimum. Super disappointed in the hotel for that farce. We did have dinner at the Italian place which was good. Puerto Rico is so beautiful and has amazing places to eat so don’t do it all on site. Expect this to be a beach property that will be average not luxurious and your expectations be in check.

We've been coming every year to this hotel for 23 years. Through those years a lot of changes and owners and design has taken place in this beautiful hotel. The only thing that's never waiver is the warmth reception of the staff in this hotel. As well as the doorman Angelo that for the past 23 years received us always with a smile, welcome home, anything you need was always His Welcoming. The staff is always willing to help. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The food is amazing I've been to every single restaurant as they've changed the styles have changed but the cleanliness and the friendliness has always been there. During the 2 year on the hight of covid, the casino was closed and now is open slightly different than before but still nostalgic of the old times . Thank you to all that work behind the scenes ( doorman Angelo, front desk, business office Marisol and the cleaning ladies that keep us safe by keep our rooms clean) This hotel is great because of an outstandingstaff, thanks to you all. I ended up booking a last minute trip to El San Juan. The Guest Services Manager was exceptional in assisting us with all of our needs. The cabana boy, Darren was there for any of our requests. He was very accommodating. Lastly, Yenmarie was another cabana girl whose effort stood out. She was very pleasant and increased the overall experience. Will be back for a third time.

Spent a week at the Fairmont El San Juan Hotel and really enjoyed my stay with my fiancé. We were fortunate enough to get an upgrade to our room which started off our vacation very well. The room we had was in a great ground level spot with a large wellness pool in the back. We had direct access to the other large pools on the grounds and quick access to the beach behind the hotel. The hotel has a large range of things to enjoy such as a fitness center, restaurants, a club, multiple bars, small shopping center and a casino. We enjoyed the spa and both got a couples massage and also dined at three of the restaurants within the hotel which all had delicious items that were prepared very well. The staff was friendly and met our needs. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in San Juan. There’s plenty of restaurants outside of the hotel, not to mention a local brewery only 5mins by car or 25mins on foot. If you want to Uber to other areas like Condado or Viejo San Juan it took less than 30mins by car. Of course staying at a hotel like this comes at a high cost so don’t bite off more than you can chew, be sure to plan ahead and know exactly what you want so that you aren’t spending more than you’re ready for. If you are ready, then I highly suggest you give this hotel a stay.
