Love 21c where I’ve stayed before and this spot did not disappoint. Cool reinvention of a historic spot and a fun and thoughtful interior. Love the gym ballroom and that the pool was retained in its original character. However, there is a flashing green light from the fire system that illuminates the whole room all night like lightning and is extraordinarily disruptive, additionally the pillows so huge and robust it was incredibly uncomfortable to sleep. Pool metal was rusting too which is too bad. For such a luxury feeling experience (and price) these aspects were very disappointing. I wanted to love this place but I had two of the worst nights of sleep which just leaves you feeling tepid on returning. Have to be honest.

Hotel was beautiful, the art magnificent and the food truly delicious. Though trendy and with a distinctive vibe, the whole family enjoyed all on offer. The access to the fitness club was a huge bonus for all. *We do wish the reservations team would have given us a heads up that we would need to book the restaurant in advance of check in. It was full, the bar did accomodate us, at all meal times.

We stayed for one night to celebrate my husbands birthday. We are local to St. Louis. We had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and walked around the art gallery. Overall this is a wonderful hotel. Modern, artsy, nicely remodeled. The bathrooms were amazing. A few small pieces of feedback as the price of the hotel puts it in a high end category for me. The steps at the front of the hotel were pretty messy both when we arrived and left. I’d suggest hourly sweeping or redoing the carpet so the dirt isn’t so visible. I was also expecting more of a concierge approach from the front desk team. I included why I was staying at the hotel, as requested on the website. It would have been nice to have been greeted with ‘mr and Mrs xxx, so happy you chose our hotel to celebrate your xx.’ There wasn’t much personalization. Again these are small touches but I do think they make a difference. Also the blinking fire alarm in the room right next to the bed was horribly distracting. It took me forever to fall asleep because of it.

I had booked the hotel through the reservation service and requested a room that was supposed to be a deluxe double queen. We ended up in a double queen which was fine, but a little disappointing. I didn't get charged extra and we were on a time constraint for the event we were in town for so we kept the room and didn't say anything.

Stayed one night at 21c because it was convenient to where I needed to go. The room was clean and had a comfortable mattress. The food and service from the restaurant was great. Would stay there again.
