The experience of staying at a 21 C hotel was very disappointing. We waited 4 hrs for a clean room. We checked in and they said we actually do have a room ready we went up and the room was not clean...went back down told the girl and she said ok, we will clean it asap...we left for a baseball game came back to a NOT cleaned room...went and told them again...waited another 15min still not cleaned...went down again and finally they decided to move us to a different room, which was clean! The people were not very knowledgeable about where to go, we asked quickest way to the walk to the stadium and they had no idea.... We have a 21c hotel in our town and it's suppose to be the "fancy" place to stay so we were excited to have the opportunity to stay in one ourselves and that excitement quickly faded.

Decided to splurge for a weekend staycation as we were going to two Cardinals games and wanted to check out the newest hotel and museum! Beautiful facility and museum! Our room was a corner Queen suite that was one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in. We had a late dinner at Idol Wolf with a little wrinkle on delivering the food but it was a fabulous hamburger with thin and crispy fries that worked perfectly to carry out and split. Also enjoyed the bar and ambience—seeing that everyone was welcome from hotel guests, dinner guests, couples, singles, groups of friends and those post-game. Definitely be mindful when the kitchen closes though. Good Press was a great option for coffee in the AM and pastries. We didn’t realize they had hot food options and loved the decor in this space. The museum and especially the awesome staircase are truly and experience. We were able to see the second exhibit at the hotel and a mix of multiple media so super engaging. It’s fun to see how they developed galleries from the former basketball court and residential rooms. Definitely a highlight is the Locust Street Athletic. Club. Loved the pool, separate weight and equipment rooms but happily surprised that there was a steam room, sauna and rain shower!! Another key thing was the service. While it is expensive to valet park (the only hotel option at $45/night, it was secure and the workers were friendly and conscientious! This was true for the maintenance staff and restaurant, bar, coffee shop workers. The Front Desk was professional but they are juggling a lot of questions and feedback from guests so I wasn’t worried that they were not overly friendly but they were available for any questions. We love to walk downtown and explore the city, the hotel is convenient to the Public Library and Soldiers Memorial as well as restaurants and shops on Washington Ave. the walk to Busch Stadium was 25 minutes but we were strolling and paused in City Garden. We did take a golf cart back when the game ended after 10. Definitely recommend and look forward to returning! Have told my friends this is a must see/stay place.

The restaurant was nice, the food very good. The room was very nice, the bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The living baby was gorgeous and I enjoyed the art gallery. Only issue was difficulty getting copy of hotel bill.

Boutique Experience Great! Traditional One, Not So Much

For some reason I was the person who booked both rooms and yet my brother-in-law's name became attached to both reservations. I was initially sent an email with one reservation but not the second one. When I telephoned, one time to follow up, the person couldn't find any reservation! A couple calls later revealed 2 reservation codes. My husband and I stayed in 823 for 2 nights. Neither of us slept well BECAUSE THE AC WAS SO LOUD!!!! The room was clean. It was quite small though. The common areas were very attractive and fun but not well cleaned with dried beverage container rings and crumbs on the lobby work station long table. Dust was seen on lobby window sills. The desk staff seemed to not be able to log in the find information requested at times. My in-laws' keys didn't work on the fitness center so staff issued them multiple keys. In the end, they couldn't get access to the fitness or pool areas. They stayed in 601. This really is a great concept for a boutique hotel and St. Louis is a wonderful exciting city to visit. Please improve these items. We loved our stay despite the hiccups and would stay again if gets more in line with good customer service practices.

Overall a great stay but housekeeping left much to be desired. There was trash in our trash can when we first checked in and it was never emptied during our two night stay. There was visible dust/debris on the floor that was not picked up and the mirrors were clearly not cleaned. There was also visible residue in the glass cups.
