With a very warm welcome from reception, Ms. Tiantian, I started my 2 night stay in Qiantang Mercure. The room is decorated to a modern Chinese style and let me feel comfortable. I will be back soon for next trip.

I really like the design of the hotel interior, very nice bed, everything works great except for the AC that doesn't work.

The service of the hotel is worse than ibis budget that I have stayed. I don’t think this hotel can meet Accor’s standard.

Totally not satisfied with your service. As Accor silver member, I booked your hotel for King size bed (35m2), upon arrival I was given much more smaller room Queen size bed around 20m2. I talked to the reception and he said he needed to ask permission from his manager to upgrade my room. After a few minutes he came back to tell me it was not approved. I said I didn’t ask for upgrade, I just want the room that I booked. Then another staff came out and said the description on Accor booking site is inaccurate. I just feel it was a lousy excuse.

The upgraded room was truly beautiful and the shower in particular was so nice with such lovely finishes. I enjoyed the room and the entertainment system, but the communication with staff was a difficulty throughout the stay. Miss Cherry Chu was so utterly helpful for me when I had trouble with my flights, but when she was missing, all the other staff members tried to communicate through some translation app. It made things kind of awkward. I had dinner in the restaurant one night and breakfast the following day, and I was really shocked to see how much of the menu was the exact same from the night before. It made me want to go outside for dinner the second night I was there since I didn't want to have the same meal again for the third time. It also smelled VERY strongly of smoke on the 26th floor near the entrance to the restaurant. This was a very unpleasant experience.
