On arrival I went to the desk while a disinterested receptionist ignored me while she typed on a computer. Eventually checked in and got to my room. The first thing that greeted me was an odd smell. The rest of the room just felt grubby. Stains on the floor, chairs, curtains; even the sink was discoloured. With suspicions holes drilled into the walls and door that didn't lock that also looked as though it has been kicked in a number of times if security is important to you if certainly doesn't show. The air conditioning didn't work so the room came with a plug in heater. Put my bags down and went out for dinner in Nottingham. When I got back noticed a sign saying to register my car at reception, which I'd have thought the receptionist would have mentioned when I checked in. The receptionist also had company behind the desk, they didn't look like an employee. Decided at this point to have a shower, with the controls being broken and the ceiling being converted in mold and flaky paint the experience was certainly interesting. The shower tray filled up while I was showing, resembling the veruca baths you had in the school swimming pools in the 90s. When I selected a new towel from the rack there was concerning debris on it. So I just dried myself on the bath robe. The bed was clean but lumpy and the pillows likewise. The next morning the fire alarm went off first thing so I got up and endured another shower and went for breakfast where no provision has been made for vegan food, despite specifying it on booking and check in. Overall a very shocking stay and one I won't be repeating

I was originally happy with my stay however my room had no heating wasn't working so was cold for most of the time at my stay overall not much to be said was an decent hotel room
