Mouldy room and soiled towel

Really disappointed at the hotel. Room was grotty with mouldy decor and carpet unclean. When I showered it flooded immediately and I placed down a towel to protect the floor - only to find the towel was soiled. I asked at Reception for fix or a room move but was told that the only empty rooms are on the top floor and the lift is broken and maintenance don’t work evenings to unblock the shower. The only option they could suggest was use the leisure club to shower. It felt like a tired hotel and tired staff. Shame because most of the chain are excellent.

The hotel offers a genuinely nice atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Everything feels welcoming, calm, and well thought out, making it easy to relax and enjoy your stay. The location in Nice is excellent, with convenient access to the city while still feeling peaceful. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and the common areas invite you to slow down. A special mention goes to Helen and Anes in the restaurant, who were absolutely great. Their friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail made every meal a pleasure. Not able to use gym equipment and pool this was not the case when booking was made.
