One quick night to take in a few distilleries and meet old friends.

Did not feel safe.

The morning and afternoon front desk staff was excellent! Helpful and enthusiastic. The valet and bellman staff couldn’t be any better or professional. Our room was dated and very tired. Stains on carpet, bed in need of replacement , and an air conditioning unit that sounded like a train coming through. Parking was one block from hotel. The deal breaker however is the homeless constantly wandering outside of your property. We did not feel safe outside. The reason that we were staying downtown was to go for a morning walk and to be able to walk to restaurants. We actually heard multiple gunshots from our room one night. No matter how friendly and personable your staff is there is no way that we will be returning.

Amazing room

The room exceeded my expectations because the sitting area and windows were gorgeous. I was disappointed that the restaurant was completely closed for every meal while I was there and I hadn’t been informed. I was contacted by text to ask what I needed and I was extremely impressed how quickly I was answered- I was able to request while in a meeting!

Awesome staff

Doorman/valet was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of area. Desk clerk was courteous and helpful as well. I left a couple of shirts in the closet, called that evening when I realized it, and went back and picked them up. A common occurrence in their experience, perhaps, but not mine. The desk clerk was so kind.

First time to a wonderful 21C! Great location and a few ups and downs that you all had nothing to do with all caused by the Pandemic.

Very pleasant and felt very safe as you have to have a elevator key card feature in order to gain access to rooms. Oh did we love the Art and Galleries. Just made the surroundings so very comfortable and the painting of the sheep in our room took the stress of driving nine hours all worth it! Your Sarah and Savannah couldn’t have been more cordial/accommodating and four of the most handsome UK Seniors on your Valet Team were awesome. I am deaf and poor things all staff members had to repeat conversations.

Good customer service but dirty

Everyone was very friendly. I had left my charger in the car and the valet escorted me to my car to retrieve it which was very nice. The room itself was beautiful and I had a great view of the city below. The bed was comfortable. I wasn't particularly happy with the fridge being full because I wanted to use it to store my personal drinks and food. There was the cutest rubber ducky in the shower too! Overall I had a great stay and of course the galleries had a lot of great thought provoking work with many different mediums.

Good location , great staff

Everything was great. Just a small suggestion. I went into the restaurant in the morning and asked for coffee. The waitstaff charged me $6.00 for 2 coffees. I asked whether the hotel was still offering complimentary coffee and the waitstaff didn’t know. My husband then walked up with complimentary coffees from the front desk. I mentioned to the restaurant waitstaff. There could be better communication between the front desk and the restaurant.

There were multiple brown stains on carpet. It was clear that the room had not been vacuumed. The air conditioner shut off multiple times throughout the stay, engineering had to come to the room. The second time it shut off the room got up to 78 degrees. I called the front desk after tolerating it overnight (did not want engineering coming up to the room at 3am). In the morning when called downstairs, all of a sudden it kicked on. When valet is the only parking option you have and it costs $30 per day, it is very aggravating to not be able to get a hold of front desk or valet via phone in room. Multiple times would be leaving for work and there was no one at the valet desk so had to grab the keys and leave. Had luckily requested the car be brought around the night before. Towels were extremely thin and had holes. Wine glasses that we requested to the room were dirty with red wine in the bases. Ice not available on the floors, requiring us to call down each time. Room not fully stocked - we arrived on a Friday, it was never restocked. While I realize COVID has impacted hotel staffing and empathize with that, rates should accurately represent this. There was no room turndown during the day, bedding wasn't changed - we changed it ourselves, towels weren't brought up without prompting. Again, while COVID and staffing may be to blame, this should be reflected in the price. This is not standard for a 4 Star hotel even during COVID. The hotel was $209 per night or $110 with my government discount. In my experience, the stay we had, the room, and the services offered do are no where near the cost - particularly with the 80% availability across hotels in Lexington for these dates. When bringing the dirty carpet and air conditioner issues up to front desk, the explanation we received was that "some rooms are being renovated/redecorated and not all rooms have been done yet." Well then the price should be adjusted accordingly. Additionally, if we received a dirtier room because we had a pet with us, then that should have been disclosed to us prior to coming to the hotel.

The parking situation was not great. The hotel was beautiful and located in a great area. However we were charged for bar items we did not purchase. ($15.00)

Not quite nice enough

As one of the most expensive hotels in Lexington would have expected a little nicer. The room was fine and clean. The bathroom was spacious which was probably the best room feature. Our check-in had not been relayed to housekeeping so a housekeeper walked in the room on us while we tried to nap before our event in the evening. The restaurant food quality was fine but not outstanding. The restaurant service was quite poor. Nobody was rude to us, but we had a large group and between everyone there, probably spent nearly $1000 on food and drinks. Service should be quality regardless but I do think it’s hard to expect people to drop such large sums of money if it isn’t going to be outstanding. Initial drink orders were taken, then apps and entrees ordered at the same time. Nobody was asked if they wanted another drink with dinner, etc.

Didn’t spend much time at the hotel. Did not use restaurant.
