Best hotel stay we’ve had in a while. Ideally located in downtown Kentucky off historical whiskey row. Near walking distance from touristy venues.

I had been wanting to stay in Asleep in the Cyclone for years so we booked it for our first hotel experience since the beginning of the pandemic. It was well worth the wait. My partner isn't a fan of hotel rooms in general because they're "boring". He raved about the space from the moment we walked through the door. We even stayed up later than usual because we just wanted more time to experience it. It was really a perfect out of town stay. And THAT ROBE!!! All I can say is thank you.

Overall, I had a good stay at 21c. The location was great. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious for 2 people. There was no fan in the bathroom and the blacklight was a fun touch. The fridge appeared to be a true minibar fridge but emptied out, so there was no small freezer space and not the most adequate space for anything larger than like a water bottle. I would stay again the next time I'm in Louisville!

Great location, great design. I feel the hotel needs more amenities. The staff does not communicate well. Especially between shifts. Also, staff did not let me know about the spa area. I heard this from another guest. The late night person, I forgot the gentleman's name. He is African American and works the overnight shift, He was the highlight of my trip. He is very friendly and responsive toward getting things done. I wish I could remember his name. This company needs to reward him.

Greeting was super friendly. I was leaving my room and saw the cleaning person come into the room. As I was waiting for valet the woman cleaning my room came running down to me on the street to give me the book I left on the bed. That was wonderfully thoughtful. Not thrilled with lack of meal options. Restaurant in lobby had 45 minute wait and no options in area for dinner.

Stayed here for a long weekend in one of the corner suites. Room was spacious and nicely furnished. Disappointed in the amenities (water, breakfast, etc). We had to keep asking for more water, which they never pre-stocked the fridge. The only thing to eat in the morning where poor pastries and horrible coffee. Found much better options off site. I brought up an issue that I could not see my Accor loyalty rewards for the room and the front desk brushed it off. Location was nice as it was right off the Bourbon trail and within walking distance to 4th Street. The art work at the site was very abstract (not my style, but still enjoyable). Overall, an ok place to stay, just don’t expect the staff to go out of their way for anything.

I have stayed at your hotel a few times. Usually everything is very good. This time there were a few problems. One of the towels in our room had terrible stains on it. I called the front desk on my cell phone (the phone in the room was not working) and asked for a clean towel. After half an hour, I called a second time. I finally received a towel after about an hour. Also, at check-in the person (female) that was helping me had a computer problem. There were two other people working (both male), who were also at computers at the desk. Instead of helping me, one just sat there and did nothing until another person walked in and he helped that person instead. The third person just stood there and avoided eye contact. I was surprised by the men’s unwillingness to help out their colleague or to help me finish checking in. I literally was made to stand there until her computer was working again as people who came in after me were checked in—not cool!

Everything was wonderful, the room, and the restaurant with the exception of the front desk. When I arrived I asked if the parking ticket for the garage would be validated and was told that it would be. The next morning I was told that you didn’t validate tickets from the garage. On a few occasions when standing at the front desk to ask a question or on one occasion to purchase something I had to wait several minutes while the staff finished their discussion. I was the only guest standing in front of them.

We stayed at 21C because of its proximity to Slugger museum. There was a very loud party in the gallery (which is essentially the lobby and not closed off) on the night we were there (it was a Saturday) and while it looked super fun and beautiful, it made going to sleep for the 10 years old's in their own room impossible. The front staff was super understanding and compensated us well for the inconvenience but it didn't really change the fact that I would say this hotel is not kid friendly - great for adults though!

Loved every minute of the property itself--lobby, art installations, elevator, and the artfulness of the room itself. It is by far the best hotel experience ever because of the intentional design and the ethos of the property. Luxury properties are what they are, but the design and execution and luxe at 21c Louisville is a great experience.

Found this hotel on our trip across the country--from California to DC. Both art lovers with little time to stop at a museum, this hotel concept was intriguing and did not disappoint. We loved the diversity of artists and media in the exhibit. The guest accommodations were beautifully appointed, comfortable, and quiet. The on-site restaurant was excellent. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Proximity to the waterfront was a plus.
