Room was spacious and well appointed. Enjoyed the bar and restaurant on a couple of evenings but would have appreciated a breakfast option. Also daily housekeeping.

By far one of the best places I have stayed, and I do travel often for work. Love the black light bathroom. Great and energetic staff at the front desk mainly the two woman that work 3-11 amazing.

We booked via a third party 2 days prior and arrived to the hotel without an apparently confirmed reservation. Even though the third party site confirmed reservation, the hotel front desk had to rebook it since it allegedly went to the junk mail. After this was sorted, we went to our room. The air conditioner did not work. I think it's not acceptable for the hotel not to check its room before the next guest.

Luke the greeter was fantastic, the receptionist nice but apologized to much, Only non decaff in the room and when called to the front desk was informed you all "ran out", the Bar service were all fantastic . unfortunately the bagged breakfast to go and catered dinner in the rear room was terrible, tough NY Steak, over dressed salad stale bread was served. The tables all agreed the food was not good. When I asked the bar station waitress in the area we dined a question "what type of water are you serving" "mineral or spring", they said we don't have any would you like a "Sprite instead"... Not up to speed for out of towner, the prebrewed coffee in the lobby had no coffee smell; tasted flat like dark black tea. Overall, those simply outpoints will be what I'll remember and what I provided as feedback to our big Louisville Corp host.

We had a wonderful stay at the 21c Museum Hotel in Louisville. We stayed in the Cyclone Room and it was like nothing we have seen before. The entire hotel has fun features (stop in the bathroom off of the lobby). I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We had an amazing stay. The only reason I declined to give a full 10 stars is because, I left a personal bag in my room and did not receive ANY follow up assistance after inquiring about it twice. I called 50… on 2 separate days to ask if maintenance could be notified. Each time I was advised a note was taken and I’d get a returned call. However, no one EVER called me back. I was very disappointed.

Stayed for two nights and was able to tour the property for potential future events. Great features & brings a unique experience to its guest. Unfortunately, we weren't able to try the on-site restaurant due to limited hours because of staffing shortages (every organization is feeling it, so it's understandable). Good location for tons of fun in downtown Louisville.

People were very friendly. A few areas to improve, don't say you have a breakfast when only one day of 6 was there a pastry to be had. Just say you don't have breakfast and tell people where they can go. clean- mostly very clean, but the bottom of the white shower curtain was black. YUCK, the vent cover in the bathroom was very dirty, the hair drier was so sticky that I asked for a different one. SO close to being great... but enough grime to not quite make it

Fantastic property and service that was unfortunately overshadowed by the reservation process.

The Louisville property was eclectic, contemporary and exactly what we expect from 21C. Unfortunately the third party reservation process (and representative) was absolutely brutal in many ways (predominantly the lack of communication).

There were a few glitches. It appears that staff has been cut back. Those who were working were attentive and enthusiastic. The Art was stunning. Dinner at Proof on Main, excellent. One of our favorite hotels.

Great Spot / Poor Communications

Under normal circumstances this would be a purely positive review. We arrived Sunday, 9/26. Check-in was great and dinner at Proof was spectacular! We were in town for my wife's brain surgery/procedure and anticipated checking out Tuesday morning, 9/28. Unfortunately, there were some complications and I had to call from the hospital to ask to extend our stay a day. Here's where it went off the rails: Our rate for Sunday was $199, for Monday $249. The person said, "Yes, I can extend your stay, but the rate might be different." My interpretation of "might be different" is that it would likely go up, but "might" implies not by much. I asked about hospital stay rates (Hilton is very generous in this regard at many locations) and the answer was no. Ultimately had to extend the stay again one more night, no mention of rates. Checked out, Did not receive a paper copy even though gentleman said he could, but it was purely emailed instead. No problem. So what was the "might be a different rate"? $379 per night. Of course there is no recourse, but I did feel duped. Had I know, I would have simply checked out Tuesday morning as planned and found a less expensive place near the hospital in Brownsboro, given we weren't really getting to enjoy the room anyway; basically just store our luggage. What can you do? Life goes on, but I am soured towards the brand.
