I enjoyed my stay here. I've stayed at other Museum 21C hotels and I appreciated how this one was slightly off of the main activity areas of the city. In addition to being well appointed, comfortable, clean, and well staffed, it had a good restaurant and was in a well designed space.

It was out first stay at a 21c property, and we were pleasantly surprised at the concept of a museum hotel. The art was interesting and provocative, and the teal penguins completely charming. The hotel location was fantastic and rooms were great. But it was the staff that made the hotel a standout. From the valet staff, the front desk, the restaurant employees, to housekeeping, everyone was friendly and extremely service-oriented.

Thank you for the business and choosing to stay with us at 21c Nashville during your music city adventures. We really appreciate it very much. All the best to you for the holiday season!

Our sheets and pillows had makeup all over them like they were not changed from the previous guest. Also, one of my wash clothes had this black melted stuff on it. Very uncomfortable stay when your worries about your safety due to rhe cleanliness.

Unique but in need of repair

We came to town for a show and were excited to stay at the 21c as we have often attended events, or walked through the galleries of these hotels in the region. The assumption was that this would be a unique and upscale experience, even for a single night getaway. The restaurant was great and the galleries are well worth the time to wander and view. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Now to the things that could be better… our room on the top floor was comfortable, but there were some signs of wear and tear on things, namely a missing shower door bar, and a phone charging clock that did not work by the bed. The wiring in the room was odd in a way that really should not have been. There was no way to turn off the entry light without turning off all of the lights, which had to be done on the switch by the door. There was no way to turn on the bedside lamp after this, and no way to charge cellphones overnight on the side tables using the provided usb charge ports or outlets without leaving the entry light on. The room had a fridge with snacks that were measured by weight, but upon removing one and placing it back in the fridge we were still charged for the item upon checkout erroneously. There was no place in this fridge for our own drinks or leftovers either, which made it’s use a bit perplexing. The view was nice, the espresso machine is a great thing to have in a room, the shower spacious and I can’t complain too much overall, but it is just strange given the reputation of the 21c that these simple experiences that so many hotels get right, were done so poorly. We also felt rushed by the cleaning staff, who knocked on our door asking when we were leaving before our checkout time despite the do not disturb notice on the door.

We enjoyed every detail of the hotel. Living with the art during our stay was so much more than visiting a museum. Every time I walked past the art in the lobby, I saw something different that I hadn't noticed before.

Our experience at 21c was probably one of the worst we have come across. My wife and I try to stay at different places with good ratings. When we got to 21c it was about 3:30 and they told us our room wasn’t ready which was expected since check in wasn’t till 4. We expressed to them that we had reservations at 5 that we needed to be ready for. 4:30 came around and we checked in at the front teak and it wasn’t ready yet. So my wife and I had to get ready in our friends room. My wife and I always keep the do not disturb sign on our door because we don’t like when people go in our room. The first morning we heard a knock on our door when we were getting ready and I started walking to the door and before I could get to it a staff members started walking in. Remember we had our do not disturb sign on the door. I went to the front desk and they didn’t seem to care about my concerns. The next morning my wife and I stood waiting for our Uber in the lobby for about 10 minutes and there was not one single person at the front desk to get a couple bottles waters so my wife took it upon herself to grab a couple in the fridge right behind the desk. At that moment the desk attendant walked up and told her not to do that again. If service was as good as it should be we wouldn’t have done that and would have had asked. This experience was very disappointing and my wife and I were excited to spend time at a different hotel. I would spend the extra $40/night to go to a well known hotel and know you’ll get great service. Only positive thing I have about this place was the bar staff was awesome and friendly.

Hotel is beautiful, staff very helpful, bar and dining were quite good. Room was amazing, very well appointed, super comfortable bed and luxurious space in the bathroom. My only down point was that their room housekeeping rules were buried in list of operational items of the hotel placed on a piece of paper given to the guest at check in. Rooms are not cleaned unless the guest specifically requests so. And the housekeeping rules are not well written to clarify this process. I find it amazing that a high end hotel charging $430 per night does not clean the guest rooms regularly for the guest. That is the way a Holiday Inn express operates!!!!

We thought it was a great spot and we really enjoyed our stay. One issue though you should address: we attempted to valet park our car and it appears no one at the hotel knew how to drive a manual transmission. Our car sat on the road out front all night yet we were still charged a valet fee. Your valets should know how to drive any cars- manual or automatic. Additionally, when we left in the morning there were a number of closed streets due to a race. When we asked the valet how to get out he said “I have no idea” and left it at that. Other than that we had a stellar experience!

Rough experience with housekeeping

When we arrived our bed did not have a top sheet in between the comforter and bottom sheet. We did not have any towels or toiletries. We were able to get toiletries but took two days for them to get our bed remade.

Hotel common space was great, valet staff tremendous, room quality was poor/broken, over priced.

Mold growing in the shower, broken nightstand, broken headboard, broken patio table, broken bathroom mirror. I had to ask to have broken fridge removed from outside our door. Housekeeping staff not following hotel mandate of mask wearing.
