Room was super clean and had good beds. Two key elements to any hotel stay. The art gallery in the first and second floor was a great bonus. The location allowed easy access to so many great Chicago amenities. The only odd thing was the bathroom window location to the shower. We had to keep the bathroom door closed as well because the bathroom window didn't close tightly, so noise and/or heat was being filtered in to the room. All else was good.

Check in took a very long time. Had to wait in line to ask about parking included with stay. Not enough front desk personnel on staff to deal with number of guests checking in.

We reserved a room with 2 queen beds n. for 3 people. We were "upgraded" to a corner suite, which for our particular circumstances did not work as well. The staff agreed to bring up a roll away bed. We weren't out for a couple hours & no roll away bed. When we went back downstairs to ask, the person at the desk knew nothing about it. We did get a roll away, but it was slightly frustrating in that we really wanted 2 queen beds.

Ac broken, painting on walls was scary AF.. putting a painting mural of dead tree branches into the woods with a huge mirror in front of the bed is not very relaxing. Maybe consider redesigning your rooms.

We loved everything — from the beds to the robes to the spinny chairs in front of a projector playing the national anthem. Some of the craziest and weirdest and most thought provoking art.

Our stay was great, aside from a few communication errors at the start of our stay. The duo at the front desk were very busy, but we eventually worked out the minor problem we had. Nice rooms, good amenities and wonderful location!

What a great hotel! The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant, the location right off Michigan Avenue was so convenient, and the room was great. We had a corner suite, and it was incredibly spacious. The separate sitting area had a table and chairs, perfect for working in the day, and a very comfortable sofa. The bathroom was chic and well appointed, and the bed was wonderful! The exhibits on the two floors of the lobby were so interesting and unique. We absolutely loved the hotel, and would highly recommend to anyone coming to Chicago.

The Chicago hotel is understaffed and the employees are overwhelmed., I accidentally left a personal item in my room at the Chicago location and I cannot get through to the hotel to contact them. I literally can't contact them - nobody is answering the phone or returning my emails.

There was a lot of confusion at the front desk about our stay. We were working with Choose Chicago and 21c Chicago on a media stay and it hadn't been well communicated to the staff on shift when we arrived. We also had confirmed a a late checkout before our trip began and this wasn't communicated well to the staff and we had to prove that we had gotten approval for a 3 pm check out for all three of our rooms. When we came back at noon on our check out day, our room keys had to be re-done as they had been shut off-- again another communication error making it difficult on us. A member of our party had a broken coffee maker the entire time and put in multiple requests for a new one to no avail. I had the shower pressure go out to no water running at all during my showers (this happened multiple times). There may be a plumbing issue at the hotel. Besides communication, I'd suggest adding a microwave and a fridge into the rooms for people that want to bring home restaurant leftovers and reheat them.

We spent just one night here and my first impressions were poor. We tried to check in early but our room was not available until 4:30pm. There was no recognition, or even mention, of my Accor All platinum status. When I inquired about any such elite benefits, the first staff member knew nothing about the loyalty program and later, a second agent said none were provided. What's the point of a loyalty program when benefits that are extensively advertised are not extended to frequent guests? Our suite was on the lowest guest floor level and had a view of the roof. While it offered no view, It was amazing quiet. The suite was quirky, with two small seating areas, one on either side of the king-sized bed. There were no outlets near the bed and the layout of the bathroom was awkward. The shower stall was very small and there was nowhere to put soap or toiletries except on the floor. There was a separate bathtub that oddly had a shower curtain (but no shower). Paint was peeling and bubbling in a few places, suggesting a small water leak from the room above. The room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. I liked the Malin_Goetz products in the bathroom as well. But the lack of any elite benefit, the late check-in, and the room quirks will motivate me to stay at the nearby Sofitel or property that provides better service and loyalty perks.

From the lack of response prior to my check-in after providing the additional information requested to the check out, the service was not the level I am familiar with of the AllAccor brand. I was highly disappointed and will not return to 21cMuseum hotel.

Check in was Miserable, went to take showers no wash cloths and only two towels for four people, requested ice twice never received so had to wait in lobby 20 minutes for a bucket of ice very disappointed with the service.
