A good stay at the Novotel. Was offered only a continental breakfast and it was not that good. The kitchen not operating due to Covid. But, I would have thought they could have made some adjustment to get a decent breakfast.

Everything is fine until my soft cushion (rabbit head shape) disappeared from my bed. I complained and I received my stuff back the next morning. The cleaning lady said it was rolled with the sheet. The cushion was not dry cleaned before it was returned to me. I have to do the dry cleaning myself.

Everything should be perfect but most of the socket outlet in my room doesn't work especially at the bed head, so I call the staff to fixed but there are no technician standby after 4pm. and the staff offer me for the extension socket!! That's made me a bit dissatisfied. This is 4 star hotel I expected to get more responsibility. So I asked them to change the new room. At least they can provide me for the new one which all of the outlet are work.

I and my family stayed at Novotel Nimman, Chiang Mai during April, 4-7th, 2021. It was near the peak of coronavirus pandemic that most well-known hotels dumped their price to less than THB 2,000/night for 3 guest room, but not the Novotel. I chose Novotel over the others to expect a better quality, but it seemed to be my misjudgment as some following examples; - The room I booked is too small for 3 guests. By adding twin bed and one extra bed, it creates very uncomfortable feeling. - The bathroom inside has no single hook/bar to keep a towel. A guest has to open the bathroom's door to get a towel only. This is too extreme minimalist. - The hotel's slippers are unusable since it's always flat and thin likes a paper on the floor. Sincerely, it's been the worst hotel's slippers ever for me. - The breakfast that I had to pay approximately THB 1,000/day in addition was considered to bee too expensive compared with those of the same level hotels (Grand Centre Point, Pattaya for example). In my opinion, this hotel was designed to save too much cost. I was reluctant to write this comment for a few days, but I hope it might be useful for Novotel to improve the services to match competition to its peers.

The room is clean, the location is not so near Nimman shops. The room was upgraded, unfortunately it faced the construction site. There were noisy sounds though it’s Sunday morning. Couldn’t sleep well due to the sound. The room was changed n the second night.

Service mind for those 2 shifts were not so good. I got a big confusion about a room. They upgrade my room because of my tier. But all welcome drink, they put to my friend room. The welcome note was on the bed. It is not my name and not my friend 's name. When I told them. they didn't correct it immediately. I had to ask them twice. During check out, 3 ladies were in the counter. They said all words without service mind to my friend. When I came to them, they still did a lower standard of Accor. You can check my history before Covid. You will understand, why do I know Accor's standard. Chiang Mai is the top destination of Thailand, especially hospitality. During outbreak, you did a lower standard, I don't think, this is the right approach.

Good room and service from staff. But there should be more communication between front and housekeeping team. Since we requested Twin but the room has been set as a King. However, this incident has been solved perfectly.

Unexpected in Chiangmai

I having strong request a king bed when i did my booking because of fully book for my solo travel, when i checked in. the front desk (woman) try to find my king bed and i got it that time, but the view of the hotel is not satisfy. The room is clean and ready when i came back! 2nd day i hang on the clean room sign on the door but no cleaner come in, have to ask reception to call them. Overall is good !

The facility is new and good. The location is not far from Nimman street and night market. Staff have service mind. I have only issue, the light in the room is not enough when I make up. The others is good.
