Mercure Timisoara

It was a 4 nights stay with our 16months boy. The room: We had a superior king room. Nicely decorated, modern spacious room, The room is fully automated, all the electricity is managed from a tablet or from the touch screens on the walls. It is nice, but also not ok for a couple with child, which is always trying to turn on/off the lights, there was no child lock to set on. The view was not the best, but it didn't bother us. The bathroom is big, however, it has a glass wall covered by a cortine which can be easily pulled by a 16 months boy😁, quite difficult to manage with this, but we knew from the beginning that this will be the situation. The A/C is not working, we asked many times for someone to come and check it, but nobody came. It is the situation in many hotels, they don't turn on the centralized AC until june/july. We managed to cool down the room by opening the windows, but as far as i know, not all rooms have this possibility. The food: good breakfast and food overall (we had also dinner and lunch). The staff: both reception and restaurant staff are very nice and helpful and trying to manage everything we asked for. The cleaning: Very, very, very disappointed. When we arrived at the hotel and get to the room, the floor, which is covered with a carpet, was full of other people/animals hair. My 16 months child was all the time picking it up from the floor, it was disgusting. We pressed the button for vacuuming, however, nobody came until we asked the staff from the reception. Next 4 days, they came only to change towels and to take trash, no vacuuming, no changing water glasses/coffee cups, no setting the bed, no cleaning the floors in the room and bathroom. For a 4 stars hotel with a 156eur/night rate, this is unbelievable.

Very nice rooms and very good breakfast

I liked very much the room and lobby. Some aspects to consider: - room 212 takes a lot of time have hot water - difficult to figure out if the left or the right side of the sink will get you hot water, adding a red & blue dot might be eady - even if there is a lot of work done on the street keeping the sidewalk clean is a must.

Very nice room and Hotel, was upgraded to Superior Room. Staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast is also nice, two recommendations: 1. Install a second coffee machine 2. Advertise the option of freshly made orange juice. It is delicious but it was not offered automatically. Just put a sign.

Good stay. The only minus is sofa bed, was not so comfortable to sleep
