The hotel is in a central and convenient location; however, its proximity to the train tracks significantly impacted my stay. Trains passed throughout the night and sounded their horns, which were clearly audible even with the windows closed and while wearing earplugs. As a result, I did not get a good night’s sleep. This was the primary reason for my review score, and light sleepers may wish to consider alternative accommodation. The initial room allocated was not in an acceptable condition, with liquid spills on the wall and what appeared to be blood-stained fingerprints on the door. A room change was requested and promptly arranged. The second room was clean and comfortable, although the hairdryer was dirty and had a broken plug, which I reported to reception. Breakfast offered a generous selection; however, the quality of the machine coffee was poor, and I chose to purchase coffee from the café in the adjacent atrium. While the staff were friendly and helpful, the overall experience did not represent good value for the price charged.
