It was a spur of the moment booking to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The hotel lived up to our expectations. Very nice room with very comfortable bed. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience in the restaurant too.

Things that would make us want to stay again as a family… The sofa bed was poor quality. Squeaky and bad mattress. Luckily a small child was on it, but still wasn’t the best and def not suitable for adults. There needs to be some food options for kids. Just really simple toast, cereal for breaky and a couple of options for dinner. The room service menu was very limited and def not kid friendly. They don’t want fancy sourdough toast! The ability to get request a toaster in your room would be amazing! Anything that you could add on to your room booking to make the stay more kid friendly would be great. Happy to pay extra for a package that might include things like a special kids menu, toy box, toaster, minibar removed so more room in fridge for kid snacks etc

My booking experience was very pleasant and I was delighted to be given a free room upgrade.The bed was incredibly comfortable, with generous pillows & soft bedding. The soaps, washes, shampoo etc smell amazing and were a pleasure to use. The views from the 7th floor were stunning, overlooking the river and city. Unfortunately I had poor sleep both nights due to other guests' noise. There is not much sound dampening it seems, given the construction of the place. I was too tired to work out how to contact reception, as there was no phone next to the bed. The restaurant also closed at 3pm on Saturday, which was disappointing after a busy day, but I did enjoy a light snack from the Cafe. I was given a generous discount on checkout due to the noise, which I was grateful for. I would stay there again.
