3 day weekend stay, very good food at restaurant. Comfortable bar to relax before and after. Room adequate rather than spacious. Concur with other guests that bathroom lighting is woefully inadequate. Parking in nearby apartment basement was quite doable. So many road closures due to light rail and Sunday marathon made driving a challenge- much easier to walk- but that’s not the hotel fault. Overall a good stay

Rooms very nice and clean, restaurant on site had great food and all staff were friendly and helpful, some music in the bar to add atmosphere would be my only suggestion

We liked the location close to other facilities, restaurants, cafes, parks, etc. Due to the location of the room and weekly room service, it could be improved by: 1. Frosted glass in the bottom of the windows onto the adjacent footpath, 2. Towel rails in the bathroom in place of hooks so towels dry properly.

Great staff but hotel needs a refurbishment

My husband and I stayed for two nights to attend the Ancient Egypt exhibition at the National Museum. Check-in and parking were great and staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was the Peppers Suite and was huge and well appointed, however definitely needed a refresh, as did many areas in the hotel. There were cracks in the ceiling in the dressing room and other places and when my husband opened the curtains about 20 mosquitoes started flying around the living room. We had to phone reception and get fly spray to get rid of them. I have no idea how they got into the room as the windows didn't open. Hooks for hanging towels in the bathroom were far away from the shower, and falling off, and there was nowhere to hang hand towels. We received a drink voucher when we arrived at the hotel and attended happy hour, which was lovely. The girl behind the bar was so nice. We then had dinner at Bicicletta and had a really nice meal and, again, the staff were just lovely. Breakfast was also good and there was sufficient choice for our needs. The hot breakfast was very good. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Peppers Gallery Hotel Canberra.

Our stay was enjoyable, except for a problem experienced getting channel 7 mate on TV (connection problem). This being said your Assistant Manager Chia-Hung Jin could not have been more understanding and helpful in trying to fix the issue over multiple days. He was exceptional and a very good employee to have on staff! Only other small issue we experience was with the toaster in breakfast area - you had to put the bread through multiple time to get it cooked holding up other users. Overall, a good stay and all staff were very friendly and helpful.
