Wifi did not work in the rooms, even after speaking to the front desk.

Room was ok. Located close walking distance to Rundle mall and restaurants. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was old and outdated and not as clean as I would expect for a hotel like Mantra.

Awful experience will never stay at Mantra again

I was given room 106, which smelt musty and of sewerage. The smell permeated the entire apartment. There was a section of carpet in the bedroom where the pile had been cut out, presumably because there was a stain that couldn’t be removed? It was like someone had recently died in there. When I asked at reception for some air freshener because the room smelt bad, I was told by the man at reception to open a window. Eventually an efficient young woman came to investigate and immediately agreed that the smell was unacceptable. She moved me to another room. When I was checking out the next day the man at the desk asked how my stay was. When I told him, his response was ‘That’s no good’ or something to that effect - and that was it.

Great freindly staff, clean, but beds were hard. Air conditioner was blowing straight over bed, couldnt seem to get the fan to stay on low, so had to switch it off and on as would get to cold and then when off, would have to switch back on again.

Keys didn't work 3 time lice or fleas in bed

Friendly staff, easy to talk to and accommodating. I did have a bit of an issue with very smelly drains in the room I had. I asked the staff to have a look at it for me, and I think they did, telling me that the cleaners had flushed them out with hot water and put some smelly "stuff" down the drains, but the next day was even worse. I mentioned it to reception staff again, asking if I could change rooms and they were more than happy to do so, even upgrading me. Even in the new room though there was a hint of the same smell, but not uncomfortable.

The card reader system for the room keys did not work for the first 3 of the 4 days I stay at the M.. Every time I left my room and tried to re-enter the card would not read. I'd catch the lift down to reception for them to check the card and it was fine. I was finally given a new card after several requests on the 3rd day. My parents were staying in the room next to me and also had difficulty with the card readers on the doors. We were visiting for a family wedding, the Bride and Groom also stayed at the M. and mentioned they had trouble with their room keys. It really is not good enough for an inner-city hotel where guests were popping in and out of the hotel. It got to the point where I didn't want to leave my room because I didn't want to go through the hassle of trying the key on the door 20 times and then back to reception again for them to tell me nothing is wrong with the key card. Don't place it next to a phone, don't place it next to magnets, etc. How about you try upgrading your systems. Poor overall management of the building and lack of upgrades by the parent company. It is not the staff working on receptions fault they are dealing with a poor system.

This was our second stay at the Hotel. Really good central location in the Adelaide CBD without being noisy. Staff were very helpful and good natured. We had a one bedroom room this year which was very good although a bit more cupboard/WARDROBE space in the bedroom would be good.

Whilst an older property these apartments have all the essentials in a good central location, at a good price with great service from the staff. They always accomodate our cycling group.
