Felt dissatisfied after my stay

The first room had bugs and what looked like blood stained on one pillow. Reception was kind enough to move us into another room which was very clean and nice. I extended my stay for another night and then was told the payment had been accidentally credited back into my account which meant I had go to Reception and make a new payment which left me $350 out of pocket. I would have been ok if the credit went back into my account immediately but it's been 5 days and I still haven't received the credit back. I also find the hotel to be incredibly expensive for a non 5 star hotel.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. I am very sorry to read about your poor experience. I understand your frustration and I apologies that the hold kept being frozen in your account 5 days after check out. At Mantra Trilogy, we release all bonds within 24h after check out and once done, it is on the hand of your bank to process further. Unfortunately we are not able to fasten this process as it is not in our control. We do have to take further room night payment/hold if our guests extend their stay as we need to make sure the money is available in the guest's account. Nothing against you and simply a security policy for most hotels. I believe that when you came to Reception we explained that the payment for your past nights has been processed and we only took the further 1x night hold on your card for the extension. I am sorry that this has caused any inconvenience but we only did what our policy tell us to do so. We enjoyed our brief stay at Mantra Trilogy very much. Staff were friendly and efficient and made check in very easy. Request of 2 single beds was confirmed at check in. Rooms were comfy as were beds and pillows. Outside deck is tiny and definitely just fits 2. View of Esplanade and goings on below was fun and action packed. A great place to stay.

The gym needs a couple more weights or equipment. Finding a park that I didn’t have to pay for was a nightmare. Other then that great service / staff. Room was amazing, location was perfect 👍

Absolutely stunning views, great location. Unit was clean. spacious and well appointed. The staff were fantastic, so much to like about this place but the best thing I can stay is we booked to come back after a visit to Lucinda and Townsville.
