Was surprised when I arrived early at the resort that basically we were told room not ready come back at 2 by the way only 1 car space so try find an unlimited park out on street as only 1 car space even though we’d booked a 3 bedroom apartment. With no visitor or spare spaces. Housekeeping needs to do a better job given we reported mould on ceiling of main bedroom and on the bottom of blinds in lounge. The kitchen wasn’t set up for the people in room with insufficient plates cups saucepans! When I asked reception all they could say was with all the families things move between rooms. As there was no bar or restaurant welcome drinks were limited to a can of soft drink… didn’t feel like a gold member! But having said all of the above now I’ve stayed there I know what to expect and I’d do things differently like make sure I bought supplies like salt pepper etc with me as well as booked differently so we grandparents had our own space away from children and grandchildren. The resort was ample for kids and gran kids and grounds well maintained and location wise just far enough out of Gold Coast and Coolangatta to be out of rat race. Well located to PAC Fair and sufficient restaurants cafes given no onsite restaurant.

From the moment we reached out, they went above and beyond to try accommodate our needs as a family with a child with a disability and an assistance dog. Their understanding and willingness to help were truly remarkable.

We stayed to spend time with family visiting from Victoria which led us to pick up our keys and park our car then went straight to catch up. First mistake as by the time we realised our room was not fit to stay in it was too late reception was closed. The smell was overwhelming and there were marks on the blankets and the side of the bed that hadn’t been cleaned. The shower and washing machine were mouldy. I understand it’s an older venue and as such I expected some chipped grout and some stains in the carpets etc but this was beyond gross. We had to go to a supermarket to pick up enough supplies to clean the place ourselves to make it suitable to sleep in. Happy to share the photos I took for anyone that actually cares. Would never go back or recommend even to an enemy.

Well situated. You can walk to the beach and to Pacific Fair shopping centre as well as cafes and other places to eat. The pool area was great. Our room was great. The only negative was a beeping chime every half hour from the room above!
