Nice view over the harbour, but overall impression is that the hotel is old, worn and outdated with dark rooms.

Great views outside the room however furniture was tired and very uncomfortable - bathroom very undesirable smell which got worse every day. This was reported to the customer service team, and they sent someone up to have a look. The maintenance guy put some solution down the drain but did not work and the smell became unbearable. Reported again the next day and no follow up had to remind Customer Service and then they finally arranged for another maintenance guy to inspect. He said there is no way you should be staying in this room - I will check if the team can move you. We left for dinner that night and the girl on the counter said oh yes we forgot to contact you - we have arranged a replacement room for you????? This was our last night and then when we returned from dinner the girls at the counter just ignored us and continued to put pamphlets together - we were standing there for quite some time. After we finally establish their attention, they finally gave us our new room key. The new room was in much better condition and smelt much better - but all too late the damage had been done. Not a nice experience.

Everything was great including attending the 5pm drinks. But if I get another room with a widow above the bed like 121 T2 I'll have to ask for it to be changed as I can't sleep with that amount of light in the room unfortunately I was awake and tossing and turning therefore I was not rested the next day.

The place looks a bit rundown. Gates didn’t open to the pool but yet people came through when we were told not to use it.

We would like to clarify that while the pool gate is generally restricted to maintenance access, we do prioritize it for guests with mobility needs to ensure everyone can enjoy our facilities. This was a week to take a breath out of the daily grind in a place that we both like. Having been to the Bay and the Island several times over the years we didn't need to see sights. The Mantra was convenient and comfortable and the room was very clean and functional. The staff were pleasant and helpful nd the convenient restaurants nearby were up to par with their counterparts in other tourist spots . Parking was a bit of a battle if you ventured out at night as there were obviously more cars than secure parking spots. overall we were happy with the property and would gladly return.
