Mantra on View Surfers Paradise

Really dirty hotel. Paint peeling from walls and stains in the walls and curtains. Sheets and blankets were yuck. No doonas at the Is hotel. Was expecting better for a mantra but this one is a dive. Would not recommend booking here until they refurbish this place.

Great location and rooms. Staff were friendly, rooms and hotel was clean. Could do with a swimming pool for guest. Breakfast was okay however could do with a bit more variety. No pineapple juice for breakfast.

No hot water in the shower for two days None of the spas working for two days No swimming pool Check out early and stressing ,they just knocking on the door and calling the room to leave so quick I am very disappointed

Was very nice good view and beautiful people great service on my late notice ,everyone was very happy, will recommend, room was nice clean tidy and serve was tops thanks very much for your accommodation

The building is very impressive and the location is good. Unfortunately as soon as you walk inside, the cracks start to show. All the chairs in the foyer are grimy and the legs askew from years of heavy use. There was a large bald patch and multiple stains on the rug. The electronic lock on my room didn't work and I had to wait for 15 minutes for maintenance to replace the battery. The entry card was worn and grimy and there were bags of rubbish in the corridor. Inside the room, I noted stains on the blankets (crusty white) and the curtains (brownish yellow). All the walls were marked and the paint was peeling on the rear of the door. The cabinetry was swelling and flaking from water damage and the fridge had not been defrosted in a very long time (4cm of ice around the small freezer) There was hair in the bathroom, hanging from the air-conditioning vents and in the bed. The light switch was broken and the hot water took ages (three minutes) to run hot and then periodically cut out. There was a build up of grime and fluff in the corners of the room and in the air condition return ducts. The pillows, mattress and bedding were all the lowest quality and very old which contributed to a very poor nights rest. The whole place needs a spring clean and someone needs to travel from room to room identifying faults and correcting them. Seems to me that the hotel will be redeveloped soon and they are just squeezing the last dollar from it. Unfortunately this is not what I expected from the Manta brand (usually basic but clean). I paid $235 per night with no parking.
