I stayed 3 nights for a conference, and the property itself was lovely. Beautiful pools and right on the beach, lots of places to eat nearby (with the price reflecting the location). I ate at Giulia Italian and had a delicious Margherita pizza. The Mexican was nice but what I ordered was too spicy for me! Had coffee daily from Salt cafe. The only downside was lack of reasonably priced transport from the airport. No shuttle. I relied on my friend with a car so it's probably best to hire one so you can visit nearby whale watching locations like Cabarita Beach or take a surf lesson with Josh at In2Surf.

Friendly staff. the room was neat and tidy. Having said that I was disappointed to be told on arrival, that a security deposit was required. There was no mention of this when I made the booking. The booking was via a direct call to the Mantra, NOT an agency. Further, I was advised following the inspection by the cleaning staff, the refund would be processed the following day if all was ok. However, on leaving I was told the deposit would take 5 to 10 days. This is inconsistent information. I would like to rate my experience higher, but not based on the information as above.

My first visit to the hotel and Kingscliff area. This was a two night stay over the weekend. Keen to explore the walking trails to beaches and township - thus hotel location was perfect. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. (pillows were too soft though -no memory foam?) Eating options were at your doorstep with small restaurants & a pub option in the complex. Pool area was nice and relaxing with a ground floor bar nearby. Ample free underground parking. Didn't use the car for 2 days I enjoyed my visit and exploring the surrounding area all by foot. Would return again, out of school holidays of course !! Thanks Mantra.
