My stay at novotel melbourne preston was one of the memorable stays, it’s really a nice property to stay in. All the hotel staff is very kind and helpful, I would like to specially thank Ms cerima from house keeping for giving such a wonderful experience to guests always there to help you in any possible way. We had stayed here for three nights on our Australian group tour. Rooms are nice but little difficult to understand the directions to the rooms on the floors . The rooms are large , clean and good. Large refrigerator but not much of use. Service adequate . Break fast quite good

We had a 3 night stay in a deluxe room. The room was large, very comfortable, with quality finishes. Lovely shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Hotel is newly renovated with a very nice lobby, coffee shop and restaurant. Lots of parking available and very close to shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked for a week, including a Sunday and a public holiday. I paid $34 (21%) extra per night for those nights. On the Sunday, I just thought my room had been missed accidentally. When I asked for them to at least replace the towels and empty the bin, they did that. Putting the towels in the bathroom was too hard for them but that's minor. The next day, when I asked, at 5.30pm, why my room hadn't been cleaned again, I was told it was a public holiday. Did I get a discount because my room wasn't going to be cleaned? No! I paid extra! Did they advise me in advance that the room wouldn't be cleaned? No! the confirmation clearly states "Daily housekeeping". It doesn't say "Daily housekeeping except on the days we don't feel like paying extra to our minimum-wage staff". if I wanted a room that was serviced weekly, there are plenty of apartments or airbnb places locally. I chose the Novotel because I wanted my room cleaned. If I drop some crumbs on the floor when I'm eating my sandwich I want someone else to vacuum that for me. Otherwise I'd have booked an apartment that included cleaning equipment. it's not hard. I don't feel like I'm asking for much. Just what I was offered.

Melbourne we all went through COVID, yet charging customers without any facilities, is a poor excuse to blame lockdown, it doesn’t fit with any service at ACOR in other States, then reduce heavily your price & remove advertised services!. No cutlery, no restaurant or cafe open, at 745pm told to go to bar next door only to be told they were closing for the evening, a Sat night!, nowhere to get food, not even water in room, nothing in room, no power all night due to auto sensor in bathroom not working. So we had no air, no lights- With a disability. Stayed in Bris last week, completely the opposite. Never written a review where I’ve been so disappointed, this was false advertising. Waste of my money. $30-$40 taxi from city, to be able to find anything or Uber. Pay the extra stay elsewhere. If this is all of Melbourne then use Airbnb, stay privately. Paying basically for a bed with zero services. We Ordered Uber Eats only to find no cutlery, plates, cups, we had to drink from the tap!! (despite booking so we had a kitchen)! Tried calling reception no one answers, had to keep going up & down, expect a nice looking room & that’s it, clean sheets. I get it’s been tough Melbourne, you were not alone but why are none of the other States treating their customers the same? Stayed in NSW, TAS, QLD, all with full advertised room facilities, remove this off your booking info, this is not worth the $ if you need or expect to be able to have water, food, feed children or basics like a running light & power.
