I booked for my family to stay at the mantra Bond Street and from the time we arrived till the time we left it was nothing but a disaster. When we arrived, We found the building to be under Renovation and it was hard to access which were never told about. We were the. met by a staff member that was clearly not happy about working during the holidays which got us off to a rough start. I asked How we could access the pool and Jim and I was told that they were both closed again. This was not disclosed when I booked with the operator at Accor! The room was not clean. There was rubbish next to the washing machine and grime. I dropped something while I was doing a load of laundry and when trying to retrieve it found it was putrid next to the washing machine. There was mould in the bathroom. There was dust all over the ceiling above the bed and dirty socks in my son’s fold away. We went to breakfast and they tried to overcharge us when I asked them why they were charging us more than we’ve been advised at the check-in desk they walked away without saying anything. I went to the check-in desk and they advised that I needed to buy some package before going to the restaurant which would make any sense because it was not explained. The front desk person advised that they were still working out a lot of kinks and they were sorry for the inconvenience but honestly for me it was just the last straw. We did not enjoy staying at this hotel due to all the problems it could’ve been a great stay as the room has great potential but sadly the disorganisation and lack of communication ruined it for us.

I needed to leave early and both the gym and restaurant did not open until too late for me to use them.

5 Star rating from me & my partner! Great place to stay in the CBD.. Lobby was beautifuly decorated with Christmas vibes flowing throughout, including the Georgie bar & restaurant. We will definetly return to this place for our next stay in Sydney!

It’s well located, but major annoying part was the TV in the room which doesn’t have the chrome cast and you couldn’t watch TV in room.
