I had booked a premium room and on arrival to the room, it hadn't been cleaned bed wasn't made etc, staff on reception was extremely apologetic and could only offer us a double, with a promise of a couple of drinks at the bar, however, we didn't have chance to take him up on his offer.Back to the 2nd room this room was tiny in comparison to the one I booked and smelt fusty and damp, the rooms need the damp sorting and a good clean. Breakfast we didn't get chance as we were told 10.30 and it finished at 10am but we were allowed a cup of coffee. I would probably not book this hotel again even though the location is good.

We were happy with the location of the hotel, food and beverages and the cost, however found it very noisy. The walls were very thin so you could hear everything!

This hotel is I think one or the best in Birmingham. Excellent location for M5 and M6. Service is excellent from the minute you turn up to the time you go. Breakfast and dinner is excellent food. Room is comfortable and very clean.

Room too small breakfast average

The room was really small, not the cleanest I’ve experienced by far. Bathroom was absolutely tiny. Breakfast was average though the lady cooking it was sweet and helpful. I won’t be staying with Ibis again if I can help it.

We were warned before arriving that there was an event on. There were no spaces in the car park when we arrived but a kind gentleman offered to move their car to allow us to park. I do not know his name but we thank him sincerely. We were accommodated well away from the event space and we heard no noise from the event. Again thank you. We had to travel to Cardiff early in the morning before breakfast would normally be served. The receptionist ensured a message was left for the morning to allow us to have breakfast half an hour early. The receptionist in the morning (Hardy?) was very helpful, knew about the early breakfast and we enjoyed a very good breakfast. The chef and other staff were helpful to make sure all items in the breakfast were ready for us. A big thank you and we will use you again when we stay in that area.

I was staying two nights to attend a funeral. Everything was perfect and I was grateful for Debbie being able to allocate me a room next door to another family member who was staying there. Amazing breakfasts and warm toasty rooms.

The care and attention from the staff was great. Really welcoming and helpful. The room while basic had a pleasant, clean 'Scandi' vibe to it which I liked, and everything was spotless. The shower door needs attention though as it wasn't sliding open and closed properly. The only downside was the dining area where there were a lot of very loud shouty men, swearing profusely. After a long drive and a tiring meeting I was hoping for a slightly calmer, more relaxed dining experience.

Stayed 3 nights, good breakfast, comfortable bed, room not huge but large enough for our needs, not troubled by any noise from nearby M5. Staff were very friendly and helpful. If you want somewhere with attractions or things to do within walking distance probably not for you but if you know you are going to be driving to places and out most of the day it’s ideal. We did have a drink in the bar , not over priced and decent selection.

Can’t fault my stay as usual all the staff are always so friendly and the hotel is always so clean. The breakfast included with the room is very good for the money and collecting from the reception is very quick and easy

Thanks to Jack for making sure everything about our stay was perfect. Going above and beyond and even helped me carry my pizza to my room as I almost dropped it, fetched us glasses for drinks in the room and got some ice for us :) will definitely be returning.

Room was very noisy as all through the night cars with music blaring were driving around or parking in the unused ToysRUs car park, opposite our room , it was awful . Constantly being woken up ! Stayed here many times before & it has been good. Breakfast was ok but not as good as usual . A lot of it was cold & the fried eggs were hard as could be . The lift was extremely juddery & the second floor lobby area was very grubby . We will certainly think twice about staying here again .
