I only ordered breakfast for one day, and I counted it for two days. This 159.2 has been a month since now and has not been returned to me.

Stayed at Chadstone Hotel for one night as a Mother’s Day present from my Husband. A great surprise, location is great if you want to shop and eat at Chadstone shopping centre, there is a short covered walkway to centre. We stayed in a room with two Queen beds. We did not pay $40 for parking as you can park everywhere else at Chadstone shopping centre for free so we just parked in the public carpark close by. Check-in was easy ,staff very friendly and very helpful. Room is great, gold handles nice decor. Beds were so hard l think it would have been more comfy sleeping on the floor and the pillows were awful. There was no top sheet just a bottom sheet and doona. You need a sheet as the doona is too hot but too cold without a sheet. Not sure why no top sheet. We were on 8th floor had a great view but you can hear the traffic as soon as you turn the TV off even with the curtains closed. Pool was great and it was open til late which is a bonus. Great stay but for the very very hard bed and the missing sheet.

Arrive at the hotel around 3.45pm for check in, was 8th in the queue, only two staff checking people in. Took 15 mins wait to get to the check in counter. There were around 4 staff hovering around offering to take peoples bag, asking what they are here for, super friendly but rather agitating when there is two other check in stations which could be used to get people into their rooms. Was told my room would be ready in 30 mins so pop upstairs to the rooftop bar and have a complimentary drink on us from a list which had no flexibility and care from the bar staff. I don't drink beer or wine and was not allowed to choose a cider, was told with a blank face, please choose a drink from this list - even though it is complimentary such restrictions need to be addressed. Once the room was ready the keys would be delivered to me in the bar. After been in the bar for 50 mins, and no keys in my hands, I returned downstairs and asked for my room key. I was then told the room still wasn't ready and they couldn't get ahold of Room services to confirm if the room was ready as it needed to be checked. Waited another 20 mins in the foyer to be then told we still can't get a hold of Room Service and another room would be provided. I understand the reason these additional desk weren't open to get people to their rooms, because the rooms were ready. The amount of people waiting in reception for their room to be ready was ridiculous - I counted 5 groups. When as a traveller you have been travelling for 10 hours, the conceedment level is really high, so instead of complaining I accepted my new rooms floor location. Unfortunately this would be on a lower floor and beside the lifts. Hearing the constant ding of the lift arriving on Floor 6 wasn't enjoyable, my only saviour was that I wasn't in the hotel room for extended periods of time. This would be the third time I have stayed at the hotel and to be honest the standard is dropping across the hotel. The carpet at Check is so faded and marked. Panels in the bathroom are coming off the wall Quality of breakfast has dropped considerably. The layout of the breakfast area needs to be reconsidered, walking to three areas isn't ideal. Next time I come to Melbourne for work I will certain consider staying at another location. Unfortunately in such a short period of time, the standards of the Chadstone Hotel haven't keep up with the phenomenal quality and consistence of the Chadstone Shopping Centre.

Room was great and well appointed. Some breakfast items were inferior as they had gone cold and some additions I had paid for were not delivered to the suite until I queried where they were.
