We loved our accomodation (Deluxe beach villa sunset). The architecture and decoration were very nice, the available space was huge and with all the facilities you could dream of (large indoor italian shower, outdoor shower, outdoor bath, outdoor swimming pool, outdoor beds along the lagoon). And all this was blended into the natural habitat of the island, almost not visible from the beach. The food was tasty and with quite some variety with the different restaurants. The breakfast selfservice was fantastic with a large range of different food type and with high quality. Thanks to the COVID-19, the hotel was almost empty which makes our stay feels very personal as all collective activities were almost just for us.

We stayed for 7 nights in March, and the hotel was beautiful. We stayed in a Deluxe Sunset Beach Villa, and the room was fantastic - a huge space, large bathroom, excellent beach and amazing facilities. Our butler Saraah was very helpful, although he was only there for 4 out of the 7 days, which was a shame. The service from everyone else was great - loved the cleaning service and the waiting staff at the restaurants were mostly very accommodating due to the fact that we had my 19 month old son with us. The breakfast buffet was well varied and very well prepared - everything was delicious. One thing that I was very disappointed in were the dining options at dinner time. We had a wonderful buffet dinner at Raha Market on the first night, only to find out that the next two nights the main restaurant would be closed and we would have to dine at one of the A La Carte restaurants. This would be fine, except that I am allergic to shellfish and my wife is allergic to sesame and there were limited options that did not incur a surcharge on my half board package. The buffet restaurant was open again on our fourth night, but then did not open for the rest of our stay. We weren't informed of this prior to our arrival, and had I known this I may have made other provisions for dinner. This cost us an additional $300 in surcharges paid to the a la carte restaurants, which would have been avoided if the main restaurant was open as advertised. It also meant that the food options were not at all varied, and we ended up having to eat very similar food every night. This was especially difficult with our son, who had to eat pasta for dinner for 4 nights out of 7. This is really unacceptable. If I were to stay again, I would have to know that the main restaurant would be open for the duration of our stay, where the themed nights offer variety and the options are plentiful for my family.

The hotel is very good - but a few things of improvement (if you want to exceed peoples expectations): 1. Bike policy - crazy. Get a bike for everyone who wants one. We arranged prior to arrival as we were at the very end of the island - thank you - but they regularly disappeared as others took them. 2. Bed - too soft for me, which is unusual for a mattress less than 2 years old. 3. A/C in room - very noisy. 4. Food selection at lunch is limited to one location (I would not include the food in the bar as it is not great). I understand another restaurant is under consideration - would suggest this would be a very good idea. But these are generally small points - the room was amazing and the staff fantastic

We had an amazing stay at this resort! This place is definitely heaven on earth!!! All the staff were sooooo amazing and catered to anything we wanted during our stay. Our Villa Host Pricilia was so lovely, the lovely Chef’s Abdullah & Idriss with their team made sure that every meal we had was so great and any other meals that we loved to eat that weren’t on the menu they made for us! The resort itself is so amazing. We loved the pool, snorkeling, jet ski and professional photography at the resort is a must through yashlightroom. Our pictures say it all! We were definitely treated like royalty! Even on our day of departure we had a great table set up for breakfast at raha market by raiif We Will definitely be coming back to this resort as soon as we get the chance to again!

We stayed at Fairmont Sirru Fen Fushi for 7 days in January 2020. From the moment we arrived in Male we were looked after every step of the way. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay memorable and special. We valued the friendly welcome in Male, the boat transfer team who were so excited to point out the resort amenities as we arrived and the welcome team who met us on the dock. On a day-to-day basis, the staff remembered us every meal and our preferences. For example,m before we even sat down for breakfast each morning they would have our coffee orders in prep. They were always authentically happy to see us and make us feel at looked after. So many of these staff stood out to us - Muznu our friendly hostess; Ben, Chen, Menaka, Nishanth, Trevo, Anys the waitstaff; amongst so many others. Our private butler, Hassan, also went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed and would go out of his way to ensure we had what we needed. The restaurants were also all wonderful. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Raha market and the variety of options available. For dinner, Kata was absolutely the epitome of fine Japanese dining - we enjoyed the sushi from Chef Ishara immensely and the duck was also superb. Azure had a lovely ambiance and the ceviche was some of our favourite we’ve had. The island itself has all the amenities and activities we could have hoped for - we spent our days swimming, snorkeling, taking advantage of the water sports, biking around the island and dining in the three beautiful restaurants. The accomodation itself was luxurious and peaceful - the perfect escape. We stayed in the overwater villa and could not recommend these more highly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This was our first trip to Maldives and the hotel island looks a little paradise to us. We are a family of 2 adults and one kid of 6 years and little one is 18th month. From landing to Male and then taking-off from again Male, they are always with us. Before going through further, I really loved concept, it means really END-to-END taking care of. we had an good service by our butler Mr. Ali, who took care of us from the moment we arrived & left the island. we stayed at the Deluxe sunset beach villa which was completely private with swimming pool and sand surrounding which gives you a feel that you are at the beach. And the beach is just 4 steps away from your villa. The villa has everything you need. My kids specially liked the amazing bath tub, which was at the backyard. Different seating areas in the villa was nice and a new concept. For food there are three restaurants on island for dinner, but for lunch/breakfast you have to be happy with their “RAHA Market”. Since I was with my infant, I was specifically looking for foods like porridge, puree & fruits. I really appreciate Mrs. Menaka, who was supported us with fresh baby food everyday. Her attention towards us was commendable. Appreciate the support from Miss Laksha and Chef Madeliene too. The hotel has two clubs for the kids, Kids Club, was a nice place to keep the kids busy. But more interesting was the “Art Studio”, both of my kids spend most of their time in that place. They paint on dry coconut/shell, and those folks are really talented. We got a portrait of our kids painted by those folks. Honestly though, Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to ensure our stay was as amazing and comfortable as it could be! From the bars to the restaurants to the housekeeping to even the gardeners! Please know that you didn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated. . You can see lots of colourful fishes around the water-villa area. The infinity pool inside the sunset villa is quite long enough to swim. That is not all, they have the facility to ask for photographer too. We took the same and it was done by Mr. Yash. He is just awesome, we can recommend him for photography or videography. One last point to mention, I was looking for the permission to fly drone there, amaze to see that Mr. Jan could able to recognize me in the Christmas Party and update me on the same. I really appreciate Mr. Jan for his support from the day one we arrive and till we left the island.

The Fairmont Maldives is everything a 5 star resort should be and so much more. They have literally thought of everything! Our over water bungalow room was so beautiful we didn’t want to leave...except for the incredible buffet breakfast and dinner.

Menu/drink package suggestions

I've notice the menu (for Azure & Kata) were pretty confusing for customers, even more confusing for Asian customers, I'm suggesting to simplify the set menu included in the FB/HB package. This would save huge amount of time for the butlers (Assuming the hotel are asigining Asian Butlers to Asian customers), as I've observed they were spending a lot of time explaining the menu. Drink Menu was also very confusing as I've accountered multiple situation where the waiter had to check my package in the POS, I'm suggesting either separating the menu for Standard/ Premium package or using different color bracelet to simply the process. Everything else was superb, thank you.

As a destination, the Maldives is spectacular. As a hotel resort, the Fairmont Sirru Fen Fushi was just exceptional. The staff treated us extremely well and were attentive to every single detail. We felt everyone knew us personally and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. The facilities and amenities of the resort were great and the quality of the food at the restaurants were world class. Fantastic experience!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay, this was our 2nd stay at Sirru Fen Fushi and we were worried it could not possibly live up to our expectations and memories of the first visit in Oct 2018 (our first visit to the Maldives) but our return visit exceeded them. Our villa, the food and the service were all fantastic. Special mentions do to Anthu and Nadja in the craft centre, our son Cassius loved spending time there last year and was so happy to return, to Thalmath who diligently cleaned our room everyday and wowed us with the towel creatures and messages, to SK in the bar and Tini and the girls in the spa who all remembered us from last year and to Laksha in the restaurant who looked after us with great care and attention. (Please excuse all the incorrect name spellings!) All the staff were lovely and we should also mention Sam and Charlie who guided us on a fabulous snorkel trip on the house reef and Hayden and Ping who took us out on a snorkel trip too. We are so glad to have found the Fairmont and as a family who likes to travel bit also return to familiar destinations we sincerely hope we can make Sirru Fen Fushi one of our annual holidays every year. If you had asked us to book again before we left I am almost sure we would have said yes and we are already thinking about 2020! Thank you again for a magical stay

The staff were outstanding, our Butler Hafiz, the General Manager Iain and the head of the restaurants Lakmal as well as the head of Quality Florian all make our experience wonderful. The accommodation was very well maintained and managed and small things were thought of which just added to the experience. Definitely one of the best resorts and experiences we have had in our frequent global travels to many many countries.
