If you are considering visiting the Maldives and had to pick just one resort make sure that resort is Raffles Maldives Meradhoo. This resort is ultra luxury paired with a team that can deliver your once in a lifetime unrivalled service. It is truly an amazing experience and a very special resort. We have been fortunate enough to travel to the Maldives on many occasions over the years (10+ times) visiting some of the best resorts Maldives has to offer such as Conrad Maldives and Huvafen Fushi just to name a couple and Raffles Maldives is simply another level. We stayed at the resort this time for 15 nights over March/ April 2024 with my wife and our 3 children aged 14,11 & 4 and to be honest we could have stayed another 15 as we had such such an memorable time. This resort is ultra special and rare. After just a few days at the resort the kids were pleading with us & even shed some tears to extend our trip and we actually seriously considered it however we could not facilitate it due to other commitments in our schedule back home. The accommodation is private and stunning in both the Beach Villas and Overwater Villas each with its own private pool with spacious rooms and ultra luxurious quality. Headed by a seasoned General Manager Dennis De Groot who has been with the Raffles brand for an extensive period the Raffles Maldives resort is extremely well lead. We felt extremely welcomed by Dennis and I admired the way he rapports with his staff and guests of diverse multicultural backgrounds. The food and beverage at the resort is simply amazing and a huge shout out to the F&B Manager (master) Shane who went out of his way to ensure that our entire family was spoilt and treated so so well. Your attention to detail and love for your job is simply incredible and comes from the heart. One of the best F&B operators in hospitality. You personally made sure our holiday was special. Thank you to our Butler Koky who took care of our every request from booking our massages, , running special baths, dinners and the countless rides in the buggy chaperoning my 4 year old boy Levi (King of Meradhoo) around the island. You were outstanding. Special mention to the bar team whom we kept extremely busy Harsch, Mudura, Kulpa & Kat. Harsch you are mixologist specialist who crafted us some fine customised cocktails some of which we will try to replicate and adopt at home. Thank you to F&B Director Hamza, F&B staff: Korale, JJ, Azeen, Shaffah, Manku, Zajee, Abdu, Nai & to all of the chefs (culinary artists) the food you prepared was simply amazing. Special shout out to chefs Janaka and Ruwan for our customised Sri Lankan feast you both prepared. It is the attention to detail, sincerity, empathy, caring nature which defines the special feel you get at this resort. The staff care and they deliver you the best hospitality Maldives has to offer. It is in fact the best hospitality we have received in our lives. Even our cleaner Shinaz went out of his way when he went on leave for a couple of days to buy my son a toy car and me some traditional Maldivian sweets Addu Bendi. It’s moments like these that you go wow! He didn’t have to do this, we didn’t ask him to do this but he did and it’s moments like that you go wow! I’m sure to have missed some names and I apologise so to the entire team at Raffles Maldives a huge thank you for making our holiday so incredible and we look forward to visiting you again next year for the 3rd time. Such was the experience we collectively decided as a family not to travel locally in Australia so that we can travel more frequently back to Raffles Maldives. To the person reading reviews wanting to make a concerted decision on what resort to stay at when visiting the Maldives I hope this helps & yes, You’re welcome! Fantastic location, situated amongst some of the best reefs. Immaculate service and attention to detail from all the staff, even going above and beyond with two medical incidents that were not charged for and in fact more than compensated for in their consideration for the rest of our stay. Quality of food was amazing. This is literally unparalleled.

Raffles Maldives is an absolutely magical place. We were celebration our first wedding anniversary and I don't think we could have picked a better place. The hotel its self is stunning. we were lucky to experience both the over water villa along with the beach villa however for me the overwater trumps the other but both rooms are well done and so spacious and gorgeous, I wish I could have taken home the bed! All the staff were friendly and we also really enjoyed our cooking class with Chef Happy and our cocktail lesson with Harsh! Our butler Nattu was also kind and helped us with personal requests as well as attending to other guests. I would 100 % recommend the hotel to others and even come back my self. The food was also fantastic. The only complaint that I have and perhaps what lowered my satisfaction score slightly is that on the night before we were to leave my husband got bitten by a snake that was found in our beach villa. Thankfully the snake was not venomous but it took us a good 5-10min to even get hold of someone at the hotel to come and remove it which was not great, secondly it was quite a traumatic experience to go through yet the only compensation was an apology but nothing else which I thought was quite unexpected especially from a brand like 'Raffles'. On top of that the apology only came from our butler and not even the hotel manager, I think you could have done better than this. Other than that as I mentioned we have only great memories.

This was our family's third trip to the Maldives and it was the best so far. Each day started with Sunrise Yoga, hosted by the the gentle, spiritual and patient Ansuman, who was able to cater to both the beginners and the experienced. Each session was different, but all were a fantastic way to commence the day. After breakfast, we generally consulted with our legendary butler, Yasir, who ensured we made the most of the facilities and the experiences that were available. We went snorkling at least once per day, sometimes with a Marine Butler or one of the two Marine Biologists that are based at the resort. Having a set of experienced eyes in the group meant that we never missed a turtle or shark and Amandine (Marine Biologist) in particular, was incredibly passionate about the reef and the marine life. Afternoons were usually spent resting, going to the gym or for a swim in one of the pools. One lunchtime, our butler arranged for a Maldivian cooking course, where the amazing resident chef Sharah taught our family how to make a Maldivian fish curry and samosas, which was a great experience and provided our lunch for the day! Pre-dinner drinks at the Long Bar became a ritual, with the Singapore Sling (as made under the watchful eye of Madurah) as legendary as the original in Singapore. Dinner at Raffles Maldives Meradhoo is an event, made even more so with the new format of the Firepit, which is the "pop-up" restaurant on the beach. During our stay, there were two "themed" nights - Asian and Italian, and our family still can't agree on which was the best. Since our first visit last year, Shane and Gaetano have upped the ante with the culinary offering even more incredible than before. The new format of the Firepit allows guests to meet and talk with the chefs and watch as they prepare the food in front of you - an opportunity unavailable at most other resorts. After dinner one night, our butler arranged the Raffles Cinefushi experience, which is a private, outdoor "cinema", set up on the beach. Our family was able to pick a movie and watch it under the stars, with a buffet of snacks and beverages on offer. A must-do experience when staying at Raffles! All good things must come to an end and after six nights, it was time to leave. As always, Raffles went above and beyond, allowing a late (5.30pm) checkout which ensured we could make the most of the resort before our flight home. It was with a heavy heart that we said our goodbyes to Imran, Amandine and the rest of team, but we spent the flight home plotting our next trip, which hopefully will be very soon!

Had a great time in raffles. Lots of snorkeling, relaxing and plenty of fine dining. I stayed for nights and from day one i have experienced excellent, attentive service from the resort’s team, especially our great butler Liza. They inquired about our requirements before hand to cater for all our needs. Especially us being from the middle east the staff were very attentive for our needs of privacy, hence appointing a female butler for us. Everything was in the room before we arrived. The check in was smooth and easy inside our villa. no need to go to reception anymore, that is a plus in my book. The villas are bigger than other resorts in went to before. Its will equipped and we experience nothing but luxury. We stayed 2 nights beach pool villa and 2 nights at sunset water villa, Both amazing. The only thing which i could honestly criticize is the lack of a buffet style breakfast and the quality of food in all resturant. You could find some dishes of good quality but some also are not satisfactory to describe them. The coffee was below average. Also, activity ( pool , pingpong table… etc ) would have added greatly to fun factor of the resort. To sum up, this our best maldivian resort we experienced so far. The only thing that we didn’t enjoy was the food which is a big factor if you ask me.however, what made our trip much more enjoyable is the excellent and very professional service provided by the resort’s team, especially butler Liza and resort manager snow. Both are wonderful people and professionals. Can’t thank them enough for making my trip this time a memorable one.
