Hotel review: Really great stay, though unfortunate I couldn't use my chase sapphire reserve edit credit for a massage. I was really looking forward to the massage. I slept really well in the rooms which were very quiet, place was elegant, and everyone very nice. However, not such a great experience at Carte Blanche. Review below (posted on trip advisor and google reviews) My review of Carte Blanche The food really was very good (the cauliflower puree amuse bouche and potatoes were a standout) but my review is as such because the lamb main was cold! It seemed like it was fully cooked but the inside of the lamb shank near the bone was cold, which then also made me wonder what shortcuts they took to cook it. What irked me the most about this experience though was that the waiter did not apologise on behalf of the restaurant, or do anything to compensate for this, or even acknowledge this was a problem. I might even say that he was a bit short as time went on. As stated in prior reviews, the wait was also very lengthy, despite a restaurant that was probably only 15% full. I waited just under an hour for the main and an additional 15 minutes after returning it cold (one would've thought that it would be fully cooked given how long it took!). What was additionally quite surprising, was that the waiter was drinking wine during the service! There was a service island in the middle of the dining room. He poured himself a small glass of white wine and downed the glass in one go. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g187323-d37…-r10…-Carte_Blanche-Berlin.html#

The room was fine and the staff at check in helpful and friendly, the location is good, but when I had a question regarding my invoice (after having received it by mail) I got completely ghosted and never a reply. As being on the ALL Limitless level this is for sure not my expectation.

Great experience and service over all. I was in one of the rooms back by the restaurant where the space is subdivided into a bedroom and a small living room. I definitely prefer the larger open concept style rooms. Also, it would be helpful to have outlets by the bed...it's a bit of an inconvenience re: phones and laptops.

Dear Mat Y., Thank you so much for your positive feedback regarding your recent stay. We’re truly happy to hear that you enjoyed the overall experience and the service. Your preference for larger, open‑concept rooms and your suggestion for more outlets by the bed have been noted. Next time you check in, just let us know: we’d love to show you a few room options and help you find the one that feels just right for you. Das Stue is a small property full of charm and character, which means many of our rooms are unique and some are even one of a kind. That’s part of what makes staying with us special. Thank you for choosing us! We can’t wait to welcome you back soon. Kind regards Mattia Paino Head of Guest Relations

Located on the edge of Tiergarten, it is a quick forested walk to the Victory Tower, or a 25-minute stroll to Brandenburg Gate. The global SO brand tends to lean more into a playful, trendy vibe which may not fit everyone's 5-star expectations. Our room was "artistic" and great for social media, but lacked some functional elements. However the Carte Blanche restaurant stands out for dinner and exceptional breakfast menu items. Special appreciation goes to the team - every one of them - who were friendly, professional and helpful. A+

Dear Andrew S., Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience at Das Stue. We’re very pleased to hear that you enjoyed our atmosphere and the hotel’s location. Your feedback regarding the artistic elements in your room is very helpful. We always aim to balance design with comfort, and your comments will support us in refining this further. It’s also wonderful to know that you enjoyed your meals at Carte Blanche. Our culinary team puts a lot of care into their work, and your kind words will mean a great deal to them. I will gladly pass on your compliments to the entire team. Thank you once again for your thoughtful feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Cool location, good linens on the bed, but absolutely atrocious breakfast and low-quality plastic shower stall. Bathroom in general was poorly-designed with no space to put anything, small sink, not enough towels.
