Room is clean and spacious. Serve snacks and refreshments complimentary at the lobby lounge all day long which is a big plus. My wife and I were taken by surprised that the hotel serve complementary supper too. It is cozy too. I felt that if the reception staffs should smile more will be great. The one that served me was ok but everyone around him seemed stressed. They are the first people that incoming guests see to check-in and first impression is very important.

A nice hotel to stay at

Overall the hotel is nice to stay at, the hardware is good except the design of the washroom made me a bit embarrass while using, as there’s space to put my clothes and towel at the shower (will easily get wet). Second, the assets of service industry is staff, but I couldn’t feel any welcome during check in and check out. There’s no eye contact with guest, talking with the other staff during check in, never smile, guest doesn’t feel any respect at all. Front Office is the second impression of the hotel, this could ruin every hard work the hotel has done.

New Hotel but Noisy Environment

The hotel is very new and very clean, however, I am very disappointed because there is renovation right above my room at 9AM. Suppose I would like to relax a bit during my stay but end up my headache got more severe after my vacation. If the hotel knew there were renovation going on, why don't you guys just rearrange the rooms.

There are nothing to complain about the hotel and the room. Beautifully decorated and clean. Never get the welcome drink and never let me know there are event of free drink in the lounge. The room ready for me to check in. Room key can not activate all the light and appliences. When call the reception dont understand when i told her the room key or electricity not working. Should need to tell her in mandarin. Took them about 10-15 mins to bring the key up and not even an apology which they should have double check the room key that they leave in the room

Good morning. I am staying and will continue to stay approx one week per month at the Grand Mercure Hotel Gz. For this reason this is very important to feel confortable. The first room I received had some air conditioning problem, and the room smell smoke. For this reason I change my room the first day. During my previous stay in this hotel, my room had a separate Bathroom (very nice room) However, for my last stay, the bathroom was "open" in the entrance. I was wondering if they are different design of rooms. Generally speaking, I am very happy with the service, the quality of the hotel, the breakfast and this is a great location.

I was stay at room which can open window but unfortunately there were midnight very noise rubbishy care under my room from 3-5 am midnight , i asked change to quite room but the room has very strong decoration smelling which I can’t stay , I have to be tolerated until 6am due to midnight I can’t sleeping all night and this was most terrible stay my life

Excellent view of Pearl Tower and river! Great SPA, therapist Amanda is excellent! Warm and helpful staff. Lovely, comfortable and spacious room. Good foods served in Chinese restaurant. Great location, and I like to walk around the Huacheng Square.
