Hi, this is just my honest opinion. I don’t not Ally wrote reviews but as this was a very expensive holiday, it wasn’t what i expected. Hotel itself was not the best. Outdated rooms, poor finishing in bathroom, brown water coming from bath tap, shower water not consistently hot. Food in restaurants limited. Terrible selection for kids. Basic alcoholic drinks selection, overall in the nicest possible way I will not be staying here again. Sorry

Overall great hotel , food and drinks excellent, disappointed with the lack of a dressing table and mirror for my wife also rooms starting to show age especially bathrooms with rust around stainless fixings , another disappointment was the beach club was closed down

I took my two daughters to the Rixos Hotel to spend quality time together over Christmas. Having worked at Claridge’s in London many moons ago and then worked and managed hotels in the UK and abroad, I can appreciate how hard it is to run a quality hotel. However, the Rixos does this very well. We had the most fantastic time; from the moment we arrived at the hotel and was greeted by the lovely Jarved; this gentleman spreads joy to everyone he meets and is the heart and soul of the hotel. Our bedroom had a sea view and was spotless; the view was lovely during the day and night. The hotel always has a buzz about it with swimming pools and the beach to hand. You also have many restaurants to choose from. We enjoyed Christmas Eve at the Aqua & more restaurant, and the food was super. We also went to the outside bar area most evenings, and we were very impressed with Wilson, who was very attentive and looked after us very well. Marwyn, in the Shisha bar, was delightful and always made us a special drink before dinner. We enjoyed all the of the restaurants; the Turca Restaurant has a wonderful chef who cooks either meat or fish for you to perfection. However, the most outstanding for us was the service at the Toro Loco Steakhouse. The Restaurant Manager was such a good host, complimented by his staff, Thu Ya, Sandip, Djinesh and Margaret. I highly recommend this hotel as all of the team are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

Our stay was absolutely phenomenal- unparalleled guest services, attention to detail, pristine and beautiful property in the most exclusive section of Palm Jumeirah. Rixos Palm has something for everyone! We loved our Coaches and unlimited classes at Exclusive Sports Club (Tatiana, Kostia, Yaroslav, Furkan, Anna, Katia) and the New Years Celebration was incredible (thank you Semih!!) Our children loved the Rixy kids club petting zoo and festivals and we felt so welcome there. The chefs did an amazing job with cuisine (thank you Chef Erhan at Olivo also). Overall, this was the best resort we have ever stayed in our lives and we look forward to our return!

I have just returned from a 9 night stay at The Rixos Palm, and it was awesome. The food was all inclusive so I had some doubt, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Different themed nights, and high quality food. Hats off to the chefs. Special mention to Yasin the restaurant manager who was always pleasant and helpful. Also huge thanks to Gavin the personal trainer, who was very helpful at the gym. Giving pointers and even arranged for gifts for my kids. Shout out to the Rixy Club staff who were absolutely amazing! Hope to visit again soon.!

Great location, food and beverages really let if down

Location is amazing, kids club fantastic but the rooms are very tired and food/beverage offering is very disappointing. Food and beverage options are the worst I have had in UAE and I have stayed 10+ times. I understand all inclusive offerings can vary but the menus make no sense and don’t reflect peers. Food supplement pricing makes no sense and to only have house wine available is very poor -especially when staff can’t tell the difference between the only two wines on offer. For this reason alone, we wouldn’t return

Room and hotel decor 10/10. Mobile phones. The staff using their mobile phones needs addressing urgently. It was sad and very annoying to see - constantly texting, or making calls when transiting around the hotel. Countless occasions. It was witnessed on an hourly basis. Food. I got food poisoning on day 2. From the Italian or the The burrata in the Italian restaurant was one of the worst things I’ve ever tried - it was creamed burrata piped into a frozen tomato. I saw 5 other guests try it and were equally shocked at how bad it was. It needs to be reworded on the menu or removed. We ate in Torquise most nights. The food was good. The chap running the grill inside needs to be trained on food hygiene. He wore one black glove and touched cooked and raw meet with it. He then went over to top up the watermelon- touching it with the same glove. Crazy. He wore a black bandana / cloth cap and worked in their most evenings. Not good. On the 3rd night we were woken up at 0230 in the morning by drilling in the room above. Done by the engineering team. Crazy. We called down after it woke up our baby and us and they sent someone up to stop it. At reception they offered us a complimentary bottle of wine the day after -?? It’s all inclusive. We should have been offered a discount or something else. We lost a night and the next day and had to cancel our plans.

Nice hotel facilities but terrible unprofessional staff.

I have had to file a formal complaint regarding the payment process. The key problem, which remains unresolved, is that I booked the hotel via Accor's EU website, which means that EU consumer protection law applies incl. price transparency obligations. Unfortunately, this price transparency and certainty has not been met in this booking process. I had booked the hotel and understood and relied upon the fact that the amount shown to me was debited on the date of booking. This was not the case, and I was not informed and the hotel, on site, ended up putting a deposit as a block on my card while checking in (makes little sense for all inclusive) and then on check out I was charged for the stay. The difference in exchange rate (AED/EUR) between the date I booked (and the payment should have been taken but was not taken) and the date it was actually taken in Dubai amounts to close to 100 euro additional costs to me. The booking confirmation mail made it clear that only AED 60 were to be paid on site and not the whole amount in addition to having the deposit blocked on the card. The hotel staff’s response has been evasive and unsatisfactory. A formal complaint has been escalated. This a real shame given I hold premium status across other hotel brands and have never had a situation such as this.

We stayed at Rixos for 4 nights commencing 18 November. The experience was incredible from the time we stepped out of the taxi to when we left. A lovely hotel, friendly staff and wonderful restaurants. The steakhouse was fantastic with Wagyu steak included in the all inclusive rate. The little cake shop had the most delightful cakes and fantastic coffee.

Fantastic Family Hotel

We went to Rixos The Palm for the second time in October 2021 with three kids aged 2, 5 and 7. We have been to several lovely places in the region. That being said, the kids club at the Rixos is better than anything. Lovely staff, great events, energy, kids disco, petting zoo for an afternoon, jumping inflatable stuff the next day, etc. All great. We will be back for X-mas. Hence, a special thank you to Sibel Cengiz, the head of the kids club, and her team. On other matters, the all inclusive contract is worth it, very good food - a la carte for about half the days in specific restaurants - quality buffet for the rest of the days and brand name drinks. Good stuff. I am not being paid for writing this... :-)
