The stay at Rixos Premium was overall positive. The location of the hotel is excellent, the staff is very kind and helpful and breakfasts were superb. However, I would like to point out that the prices in the hotel (bar, room service, etc.) are a bit high and need to be more reasonable. For example, 30 kn for small bottled water is expensive and cannot be justified. The hallways of the hotel need to be cleaner and parts of the hotel need to be renovated for guests to truly have a luxurious ambiance.

The Rixos is rated as 5 star, but does not really compare to 5 star hotels across Europe. As someone who spent many years working in London 5 star hotels I would rate this as a good 4 star at best What makes up for this are one or two individual members of the team who completely made our stay Ivana, one of the breakfast supervisors is an outstanding example of great hospitality - anticipating every guest need every step of the way Another great example is Antonia in the Lounge Bar - impeccable customer service and really knows how to tread that really fine line between banter and excellent service There are others too - Dario - always happy to help with everything, and sadly, didn't get his name, but the Indian Sushi chef - a total star These people are your stars and the way you can connect with your guests - reach out to them and listen to what they have to say. They know what is best for your guests - perhaps you could involve them in redesigns etc For example - the height of the chiller on the sushi bar means that customers cannot watch the sushi chef prepare the amazing food and the layout of the new bar in the lounge is not great for the bar staff or customers Breakfast buffet is excellent with a very good range of different dishes available - special note to the omelette chef - it is not easy to make a great omelette and she did - every time So that is the good side, a couple of honest reflections on the not so good 1/ Housekeeping - inconsistent - often some areas missed in cleaning and replenishment of amenities almost non existent 2/ In a 5 star hotel - why no turn down service? 3/ Reception lacked personality - all a bit robotic and no concierge service 4/ It was end of season when we stayed, but standards of cleanliness in the outdoor pool were very poor - after a day of stormy weather, it took two days for the pool to be cleaned - did not want to even dip a toe in it

The facility is in a pretty good condition even though it is a hotel built already during the Yugoslavia times. The hotel has its own beach front. It is nice for adults but not very children-friendly. The staff was friendly and polite. We stayed for a week. Even though there is quite a lot of choice at the breakfast buffet it was disappointing that there was no choice whatsoever - every morning the same stuff. The hotel staff - after 1,5 years of the pandemic - has not learnt how to use the masks. This was very disturbing especially at the restaurant. The masks are worn so that they do not cover the nose or they are held under the chin! Even though we complained about it and note was taken, nothing changed in this respect. We were unlucky with the weather - on most days it was raining. Couldn't believe it that a supposedly 5-star hotel does not have enough umbrellas for the guests on rainy days - even when only 1/3 of the rooms were occupied! We had booked two superior rooms and were surprised to find out that the rooms were quite different in size and the level of service.

All reception staff very helpful all main restaurant staff really are helpful and excellent customer service spa staff and facilities are amazing. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting dubrovonik Best stay we had ...it was so good we extended our stay a further 2 nights Beach side all excellent bar staff. I can not fault this hotel 1 bit brilliant gym and swimming pool and spa facilities. I have fell in love with this hotel and all the staff here. A special big thank you to Sandra from the spa..sergan from VIP guest services ..Maris at reception ...all main restaurant staff Robert and memmett from outside bar...all excellent helpers. Even the hair salon was a treat. 1st class service all round thank you ro all RIXOS staff members

Great service, a nice and big suite - as promised. The food (take away after a hectic day) was nice, and the breakfast even better. This was the best hotel stay (out of 4 great hotels) for us! Good work! :)

Amazing hotel with a fantastic location near Dubrovnik Old City. Very relaxing throughout the hotel with wonderful views out to sea from a number of terraces. The indoor pool and spa were of a high standard and incredibly relaxing. Very attentive staff throughout the hotel and amazing food in the restaurant!

The Rixos was my base for my first visit to Croatia and I was most impressed by the modern art on display throughout the hotel, the dramatic setting with the hotel seemingly carved out of rocks next to the sea and the lovely staff, who were unwaveringly helpful.

The staff of the hotel stand out here, all the people we met were friendly and very helpful. They often go out of their way to assist and make the stay a pleasurable one. Room and facilities were great. Location of the hotel was good as it takes you only a short distance from the old city, but the city is still easily within reach.

Room with a stunning view but the staff are not trained to work for a 5-star hotel. The service of pool bar/restaurant was just disaster - rude, unprofessional and even agreesive. Overall a standard hotel without any charm.

The hotel has a ton of amenities with gorgeous views of the Adriatic sea. Service was excellent and any issues resolved rapidly. The rooms are basic with good views of the sea. The bed was very comfortable.
